1961 Corvette Roadster, 159 out of 10,939 were sateen silver with white coves. The 283 cubic inch, 315 horsepower engine came with factory fuel injection (13% sold). The car haspower windows (6% sold),4 speed manual transmission, auxiliaryhardtop (1961 date coded windows), positraction rear axle, andheater. The black convertible top isa newinstall.It definitely gets its share of attention.

The caris numbers matching (VIN # 10867S107863 and Engine Stamp Pad # 1107863F0419CS, where the CS indicates 315 hp fuel injection). The differential is the correct Posi-traction "P" case Casting Number 3789812 with a date code ofA 31 1 (January 31, 1961, assembly dated February 14th). The engineassembly dateis April 19, 1961 (0419) from engine stamp pad which translate to a final car build date in May 1961. See pictures.

The Engine Casting Numberis 3756519, and Rochester Fuel Injection UnitNumber is 7017320. It has a 914 Dual Point Distributor Petronix converted with newDelcoplugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor button,Delco coil and remanufactured generator.

All the heavy lifting has been done onthis restoration project. The chrome is mirror perfect, the paint is outstanding, the interior is Al Knoch,the seats have new springs, foam and install kits, and thecar runs like a top and rides great. All decals and emblems are installed and factory correct meeting allNCRS guidelines including theGM paint care stickerinside the glove box door.It is absolutely a show quality car. The car is not far off Top Flight status andI use the NCRS1961-1962 6th Edition Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide for all the part buys. I have paid attention to every little detail from having the correct sunvisor hardware, and "Guide" mirrors to the engine decals.

The engine was rebuilt at about 89,000 miles. The fuel injection unitwas justrebuilt and calibrated to factory specifications by Lyle Davidson of Davidson Restorationin Leesburg, Va. (receipt and documentation). It has new brakes, clutch,shocks, and the correct NCRS exhaust including the cross-over pipe under the oil pan.

All gauges and instruments workperfectly (oil, battery, fuel, temperature) including the emergency brake and high beam indicator dash lights,all exterior lights,turn signals, radio, clock, cigarette lighter, speedometer and license plate light.The undercarriage looks new. The body restoration and enginework weredone between 2007 and 2008 (receipts).The front end was just aligned and the wheel bearing packed.

The tires are reproduction wide white wall radials. with a matching white wall spare tire. It has theoriginal sissor jack, crank handle, and lug wrench.Thespare tire board hasGM factory jack instructions andpositive traccaution decals.

I have all previous titles back to 1981, as well as all the restorationand maintenance receipts.
