Description

1970 Chevelle Super Sport First ask yourself how many documented Cranberry Red 70 Chevelle Super Sport projects are left? I am sure you will agree there can't be to many left. Second question, If a real Super Sport brings an easy 5k or more over a clone why wouldn't your buy a real one when they are available and cheap as this one. This car was sold to Earl Carothers on Indianapolis in May of 1970. It was delivered to a Chevy dealer in Indianapolis on 16th street. Car car came with the following.
A01 Tinted glassA51 Strato Bucket seatsB22 Door Emblems SSB37 Floor matsB93 Door edge guardsB96 bright wheel moldingsC03 vinyl topD55 ConsoleF41 Performance SuspensionG94 331 RatioJ50 Power brakesJL2 Disc brakesL34 396 cid 4 barrelM40 3 speed turboN40 Power SteeringU27 Glove box lightU63 push button radioU76 Windshield antennaU80 Rear speakerZL3 SS396 conversion
I took a quick survey and the minimum sheet metal needing replaced is. Fenders-inner fenders-core support(I have another core support not shown to go with the car I think its very useable)-hood-(I have another set of doors for the car in good useableshape included also)-Quarter panels-innner & outers-drop offs-tail panel-outer driver rocker-I have a good deck lid that will be included with the car-one piece trunk pan- now the floor could be repaired with individual pans but I recommend a one piece pan.
Now for the good-All the F41 suspension is there- power steering is complete with brackets-dash is actually nice. Frame looks to be good did not see any holes-Big block steering shaft still there-cowl area looks real solid. 4 original SS wheels-nice console-original turbo 400 included(see pic vin stamp)-driveshaft and crossmember as well as bumper jack-
The guy I bought the car off took the hood and 12 bolt and put it on his 71 Malibu. I could not talk him back out of them.
Action will run at no reserve- However I have a buy it now price of $5500. I also reserve the right to stop the auction at any time. I will require a small down payment through paypal to stop auction. Delivery maybe available at a $1.00 a loaded mile up to 200 miles one way. You must call ahead to see if I can arrange it. I will then require cash upon delivery. please call 765 206 0350 steve.
Personal Guarantee-- If you inspect the car at my home within 7 days and you do not like it for any reason you forfeitthe deposit but are not required tom pay for the car. I will not renegotiate the final price however. I live 1 hour northof Indy. Thanks.

Thanks for all the questions, I try to answer some of the common ones. Yes the car has a correct Indiana title. The vin plate is still attached and very readable. I have trunk pics but failed to add them, I can text you any pic you will need. Previous owner wont let loose of original hood, rear end or seats, I tried offering cash. I looked at two wheels they are AO code.

Dash pad has a crack throughthe speaker hole. Dash is actually nice it looks as if the radio holes are uncut. The cig lighter has been to hot and it melted the hole some. not real noticeablewith lighter in dash. After taking a good look at the floors they will require a one piecefloor. It looks as if it good around the rear window at the roof line. For those who dont know the codes. This car was Red with a Black top, SS hood without flapper and no Stripesor hood pins, as this was an early car. Contrary to some beliefs stripesare optional D88 but included with ZL2 hood. Glass is useable but the windshield does have a small rock chip. Please feel free to ask questions.Fair warning I have had a lot of interest in this car and it may not make it to the end. Thank Steve
