1982 K5 2WD Silverado Blazer.
Very nice, rust free California example, factory 2wd.
Loaded Silverado model with V8, automatic with overdrive, A/C, PW, PB, PS, PL, Tilt Wheel, Rear Fold-up Seat, Deluxe gauges & trim.
Repainted & customized several years ago, and then basically left garaged, largely unused until now.
Excellent, redone, Grey interior. Very nice blend of new original and OEM replacement items with custom tweed headliner just for fun.
Excellent, professional repaint in original White color which still looks fantastic after many years with only a very few, minor, age related misc. nicks/chips/dings here & there.
Many items updated / serviced recently to get it up to turnkey, daily drive condition again.
New A/C compressor with fresh R134 charge. Blows very cold. All 3 fan speeds work correctly.
New GM crate motor installed with reportedly very low miles on it. No documented proof of when installed however, and odometer is only 5 numbers, so true miles are unknown.
Excellent shifting, 700R4, 4 speed automatic. This is the feature that the last year, 1982 2WD blazers had over all the prior years. This awesome transmission allows the Blazer to glide down the freeway at today's modern speeds effortlessly and really helps fuel economy.Reportedly rebuilt with a mild shift kit. Again, no documents, but performance and appearance both would seem to back up the claim.
Hide a hitch tow package behind rear license plate.
New, staggered, 6&8x15 steel wheels with a very nice set of OEM vintage Chevydog dish center caps.New, staggered 235/75 & 225/75 R15 Classic White wall tires.Fresh front wheel alignment.Upgraded, 4 wheel disc brakes.
New custom dual exhaust system.
Excellent glass throughout. Power rear sliding window works nicely (driver and passenger windows getting a little slow).
If you are in the market for a factory 2WD Blazer, you know good examples are getting hard to find and expensive. I didn't like the 90's era tribal flames, but picked it up anyway because it's just such a clean, solid, dry example. An all white paint job on this truck is very possible from the center body line down. (photoshop image of this look is included in the photos below).
California registration and smog certificate current.
Pre-purchase inspections welcomed an encouraged, anytime prior to the auction ending.
