Description

This is an actual Z25 SS car that was Canadian built. GM of Canada held archives of records that can be obtained (see build record in photos) while US build records were typically stored by the dealer being special order for the SS options. You can also see the RPO Z25 indication on the cowl tag (photo included), which only cars assembled in the Oshawa Canada Plant have. This is NOT a numbers matching car but the casting number on the engine (3969854) is ERA correct as a 69-72 396/402. The BONES of the car are still SS with VIN Tags and stock 12 bolt rear-end with proper casting number for SS (see in photos)


History of car: I was told by previous owner that car spent the majority of life in the Detroit Michigan area and was donated to a Church. He purchased from the Church in charity auction and I acquired the car shortly after in 2009. Car went through a COMPLETE frame off restoration as almost every body panel and chassis component needed replacement due to wear and rust. Wiring replaced and all gauges are new and in working condition… Car is virtually brand new with all the components that were replaced. One can’t build a car for less then the price being offered.


I’m listing here all the feature upgrades to the car. These are all bolt on as the car was not cut/chopped up or compromised from original:


Engine: Nothing super fancy under the hood with dress up or chrome (not my style). Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, Summit Racing Brand 600 CRM Carb, MSD - 6AL Ignition system, CHEVY valve covers and ceramic coated headers.


Exhaust: 3” Flowmaster Bolt in Kit.


Transmission: 700R4 with 2200 Stall - newly rebuilt and can easily hand the HP of the car. Makes for comfortable low RPM freeway driving. Speedometer gear modified to make MPH accurate on speedo gauge.


Front Suspension: HEIDTS tubular upper and lower control arms.2” Drop Spindles & Wilwood 12” Disc Brake Kit.


Rear Suspension: Disc Brake setup w/park brake. Adjustable 4 Link Rear Trailing Arm Kit and RideTech CoolRide air bag system (manual air fill - no tank/compressor). Makes for a comfortable ride when traveling any distance.


Interior: All new OEM style door panels and vinyl seat covers. Center Console & Dash replaced. Simple BLACK carpet and head liner. No custom interior components. Simple & Clean like original.


Stereo System: New “classic” looking AM/FM radio with auxiliary input to use modern components. Updated 6 x 9 speakers inside with small amp & 8” subwoofer in the trunk.


Tires & Wheels: American Racing Wheel: Torq Thrust M (17” up front / 18” rear). Pirelli: P ZERO System - Max Performance Summer Tires (245 / 50ZR17 Front - 255 / 50ZR18 Rear)
