Description

Regretfully offering my 1973 Chevy Laguna for sale. I purchased this car in April with the intention of making it drivable but keeping for an eventual restoration. I began collecting parts as I found them. Unfortunately a serious health issue has made it clear that I will likely never get a chance to build this car so I am offering it to a new home.
When I got the car it was a roller with no engine and I included a pic of the empty doghouse. However I sourced a 350 "010" long block (1970 date code) and did the following:
Installed new oil pumpInstalled one piece oil sealI used ARP HardwareInstalled a Petronix in a vintage Accel 34100 distributorInstalled new blaster coilInstalled new Accel wiresInstalled new plugsInstalled new mini-starterInstalled new one wire alternatorreplaced batteryinstalled Holley valve coversInstalled edelbrock carbInstalled Performer intakeinstalled all new gasketsinstalled new air cleanerinstalled new flex plateAdded fluids
Fully refreshed motor and runs like a top. Stays cool at 185 and holds oil pressure at start at 60lbs and then settles in at 40lbs. idles great and timing spot on.
She has a solid exterior with some scabby rust spots starting due to an ancient urethane paint job. no holes. Trunk pretty decent. Passenger floor pan replaced - not great but I have a replacement that I might get in before it sells or might not. Unknown. I also have some 4 speed stuff for it, including a floor hump and pedals. However I am not offering a 4 speed trans or shifter.
Car is optioned as follows:
Power Disc brakesPower SteeringAuto transmissionSwivel bucketsAM/FM (works)Air Conditioning (belt not hooked up as compressor need low pressure switch)
Car has old rallies on older tires. It does not come with center caps or trim rings. Car does not have carpet and interior will need some attention.
The car also has over $500 in Autometer Z-Series gauges installed in an original tach dash. They are not in the car yet. Its a good look and I have included pics.
Car will come with the spares I have for it.
Front windshield is cracked. Headlights not working but I have not been through full electrics yet. Car will move, needs gauges installed and needs a general shakedown drive.
I always wanted one of these but know I will not get to it. I guess I just waited to long.
No guarantees on the car. I WILL NOT arrange shipping; thats up to the buyer. I will be available for inspections but must be in the evening as I work during the day.
This is a super solid project car that will be a driver with very little work and the motor is fresh.
I dont sell overseas so its US buyers only.

I realized I didn't discuss the interior. The dash is cracked like most of these cars. Gauges are out. Seats are swivel buckets, currently black and appear to be a later add on replacing a bench seat. Door panels, and rear seat were redone in the past; you'll probably want to redo them again. Plastics and weatherstrips are all there but they are worn. I will add pictures tomorrow.
Please make sure to ask questions. its important when you are buying a car on line that you know the condition of the car. I dont want you to buy the car and be upset. Who wants that. Buy it and be happy with it. So please ask questions and if you can come out and see it do so.

Added pictures of interior and the bad floor pan. Its solid steel just not pretty. As I mentioned earlier I have a replacement. The interior is all there except for carpeting. Some of the plastics have gotten powdery. However I have checked the Ebay website and see panels for these cars.
I also included better shots of the motor. It comes with two air cleaners. I also have underhood gauges which I used when I set up the motor. They are kind of convenient.
Looked at the trunk pan and its about average. Decent at the wheel house but some lace in center. Does it need a pan? Yep at some point unless you use Por15, and apply stone chip. Then it will last for a while. While in the trunk I could see that a driver quarter was hung. You really cant tell unless you get inside but in the interest of disclosure, I want everyone to have a clear picture.
I also found a box of NOS 1973 Laguna emblems which are included. One side script, both 350 red side emblems as well as some other stuff. I also have a pair of good used 73 side scripts.
Finally in response to several inquiries of what would you sell for, I added a buy it now. If you are thinking about hitting the buy it now, perhaps email me first with your phone number so I can do a walk around on the Laguna for you.
