Description

I purchased this Truck near Truman Lake Missouri. It belonged to an elderly gentleman who kept it indoors and used it rarely. There are a lot of positive points to this Truck as well as a few negative points. Starting with the positive points.
This Truck runs & drives!
Chevy small block v8.
Automatic transmission.
GM front stub with power steering and disc brakes.
Very solid Truck.

The mechanical aspect of this Truck is fairly decent. It starts up every time. The transmission shifts smoothly. The Truck rides very straight while turning and braking smoothly. The down side is that the engine is starting to put out white smoke (see video). It is light until getting on the highway and then it increases. It isn't overheating and it seems to have good pressure/power. The next issue is the wiring. It appears that the previous owner implemented a few different toggle switches so that he would be able to pass a state inspection (which it did) and get the Truck on the road legally. In my opinion, the wiring within the cab should be redone at some point (see photos).

Overall the Truck has a lot of solid points. Far more then how you typically find them. The firewall, fenders, hood, bed, A pilars, it is all solid. It does have some patch work within the floors. There is also an area that is starting to form around the lower inner door jam on the drivers side part of the cab. The paint on the Truck is a single stage that has some age to it and looks good at about ten foot. It is not perfect. The seams along the front fenders had been skimmed with mud to eliminate them. This area does have cracks within the seams. The previous owner decided to repaint the grill with silver paint. He also applied this same paint around the weather strip that surrounds both the windshield, rear window, and both side mirrors. The interior of the Truck is complete as is the glass. The drivers side window will need replaced as it is cracked. The drivers side door latch will also need some adjusting as it latches periodically.

To build any Truck to this point, you could easily spend over 20k. This is a rare opportunity to own a good project that can give a solid return with some weekend sweat equity. Know that you are bidding on a project that was restored some time ago and has been driven. I encourage anyone who is serious about owning it to come check it out in person. If you would like more details on this Chevy, please feel free to call, text, or email. I do have a clear title for this Truck. I also have this Truck for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early should it sell prior to the auction ending.
