Description

INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME! PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 805-8O3EIGHT WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JUST BUY IT NOW. This is beautiful 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. It is just an awesome old Vette. If you are looking for a numbers matching, everything original car with the correct date coded water in the radiator and numbers matching air in the tires that can live in your cute little bubble in the garage while never being driven, THIS IS NOT IT! What it is, however, is a killer early Custom, mild Hot Rod Vette that can be driven anywhere, anytime, thoroughly enjoyed, and shown around the car show the day that you get it. It has a healthy non-#s matching small block Chevy V-8 with roller rockers, forged pistons, a healthy cam, aluminum intake, headers, and dual exhaust out the back with a great tone. It is mated to a Tremec Five Speed manual transmission that is one of the best upgrades available. It makes the car a million times more drivable and comfortable even at freeway speeds. If you have ever driven a bone stock one, you will certainly know the difference that I am talking about. Upgraded Ford 9 inch rearend with coil-overs. The car rides and drives better than any of the original C1s that I have ever had. It is fast and fun. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with plenty of chrome. It is very clean. The silver paint is in excellent condition. It has been driven so there are minor imperfections but it shows nicely. The body is very straight. It is a California and Arizona car so the frame is very solid. The car has both the factory removable hardtop and the white soft convertible top. They are both in good condition. The hardtop has some wear on the headliner but, if you are like me, the HT will come off to sit in the corner of the garage untouched anyhow. American Racing Torq Thrust D wheels with newer tires. The chrome is in good condition. The interior is in very good condition. The exception being some rips in the driver's side seat upholstery. However, I have a set of black seat covers for both sides still new in the box. It also includes the new foam for both seats. The dash is very nice. It has a replacement Corvette AM/FM cassette with a CD changer in the trunk. The dash was not cut for the newer stereo. The door panels are nice. Modern Autometer gauges in the stock gauge locations. Factory style black steering wheel that is nice. It is not an over restored show car and is not perfect, so please be realistic with your expectations. Unlike a lot of sellers on Ebay, I just want to be upfront and honest from the beginning so you are more than happy with your new Corvette. It is a great looking, fast and fun Custom that everybody loves. It is not a Concours, NCRS restoration by any stretch. That was not the intent with this car. It was more of a mild Pro Touring type of build that can be driven. You will have a very difficult time finding a better 62 Roadster for the money. It will sell this first time advertised. Clean, clear CA title in hand.Inspections are encouraged but must be completed before the end of the auction. I am located in Solana Beach, California in North County Coastal San Diego.
