Description

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, THIS CAMARO NEEDS RESTORED HAS BEEN SITTING 33 YEARS !! GARAGE FIND, SELLING TO THE HIGH BIDDER !!
HIGH BID WINS !!!
You are bidding on a a 1968 Camaro, it was parked 33 years ago and has not been driven or started since 1985, here is the story.
MOTOR73 454, it was rebuilt 30 years ago and was never fired. Crank was turned, bored .30 over new pistons, heads were done, General Kenetics solid lift cam, Performer intake, Holley carb that is just sitting on the motor, headers, no exhaust, I do have an electronic distributor. motor turns over by hand but has never been fired in 30 years. I will let the next owner decide what they would like to do with it.
TRANSMISSIONMuncie 4 speed, goes though the gears, close ratio
REAREND12 Bolt posi, 373 gears
INTERIOROriginal interior, seats are in good original condition, no rips or tears but they need cleaned up. Dash has a small crack in the pad but overall is decent, needs a headliner, package tray, driver door panel needs replaced the others are there and original in good condition. Carpet is shag from the 80's and junk, I pulled it away too show the condition of the floors.Missing some handles.
BODYThe body needs panels behind the rear wheels, front fenders have some rust in the corners, doors are good, driver door has paint peeling but not rusted, rockers are very good. Has surface rust, no dents or large dings, not much rust around the front or rear windows, all the trim is there and in good condition, small crack in the windshield, all the other glass is good.
FLOORS AND FRAMETrunk pan is completely rusted out, around the shock towers is rusted out, you can move the gas tank when you open the trunk. It looks like the top of the frame rails are rusted also, the front frame rails are good. The drivers side floor needs replaced, there is a hole in the front passenger side, rear floors have a very small amount of rust but I would replace them all if I was going to do it. The car had a spoiler and someone removed it and left the holes allowing water in the trunk. The trunk and the rear area is the worst part of this Camaro.
OVERALLThis is a great candidate to be an SS big block clone or pro touring build, IT NEEDS RESTORED, it is a great project and a good place to start your build. I do have a set of slotted American Racing rims that I will include if the buyer wants them. It has power drum brakes, power steering.PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES, it is a BIG PROJECT so make sure you can handle the work. It is a complete car and I believe to be all original sheet metal, no cover ups here, you can see what you are dealing with.I have a shop manual that goes with the car also.
The car originally was Grotto blue with a black vinyl top, 327 motor from the factory.
Roller wheels and tires. It does roll good, brake petal is solid but the brakes are not useful from sitting, of course it does not run so keep this in mind if you are planning on shipping it.
SOLD AS IS
Please check my feedback I have sold several cars on Ebay, I have been on here for 18 years. I always do my best to describe a car but I may miss a rust spot or missing bolt but this is a project and it is 50 years old.
