First, thanks for all your interest and bids!
I've had questions about rust inside the cab and floorboards so I took some pictures last night and just added them. You will see there is no rust in the roof of the cab, drip rail or the floorboards. I included pictures of the ALL ORIGINAL floorboards and floor supports for each side, showing how nice and solid this truck is underneath. The doors and inner rockers are nice and solid also. There is some surface rust on the bottom of the doors, but no rust through. The pictures show the drip rails still have the original seam sealer in them and no rust at all.
This truck is by no means perfect or restored. Look over the pictures and ask any questions you may have. It is a solid base to begin a restoration or big dollar resto-mod. It is a real, factory short bed, not a cut down.
I have not spent any time polishing the paint or cleaning the engine bay as I figure anyone buying this truck would like to do it their way and if I did it, you'd be paying more for it. There is no sense in me detailing the old 6 cylinder if your plan is to do an LS swap. I have done what is necessary to make this a driver. I don't think I would try to drive it across country without some new tires and wiper blades though. The rubber is miles deep and they look new but are at least 10 years old. The tires hold air fine and do no leak. No holes or patches, just dry. Again, no sense in me putting new rubber on it if you are going to slam it and put on big wheels.
Head lights work, brake lights work, windshield wipers work but need blades. Rear turn signals work but front bumper turn signals are not. It could be burnt bulbs, I have not checked them. The only things not working are the dash lights and possibly the gas gauge ( I put in 5 gallons of gas and it did not get off E). I would assume the sender is crusted in place. Maybe if you fill it and drive a while it will loosen up. They are cheap anyway and easy to replace if necessary.
If you have been doing your homework and looking around at all the other short beds for sale you are going to see a lot of trucks in the $20-$50K range and not many good trucks in this price range.I have placed a low reserve on this truck and I expect there will be a lot of action when this auction ends. Whoever wins the auction is going to be real happy. There is a lot of meat left on the bone if you decide to take this one to the next level.
