1986 Chevrolet Dually Crew Cab
Description
Interesting dual cab dually Chevy truck. Previously used as a race car trailer hauler (has removable goose neck adaptor in the bed), was off the road and parked inside a warehouse since late 2006. I replaced the fuel filter, drained the tanks fitted a new fuel pump, changed the oil and it started up with no problems. Drives well, although on old tires.
Here are the details:
- Replacement 454 (I believe the previous owner said around 55k on the engine) fitted with dual barrel fuel injection
- 4 speed automatic with overdrive
- MSD ignition
- Alcoa wheels
- Dual tank setup (Although stuck on right side tank only)
- Goose neck trailer ball (Fitted to frame, not truck bed) and can be removed for a flat load bed.
- Has a Choo Choo Customs tag on the inside of the door frame. The seats look like late 80s model suburban.
- Paint is very clean, I fitted a new tailgate and was able to match the gray colors and painted the yellow stripe to match.
- There is some rust coming through on the sills and around the door frames/roof joints. Some light rust on truck bed as well. Please check all photos.
- Interior seating is is good shape, carpet a little worn. Dash has cracking, and speedo doesn't work. Total milage is unknown.
- Engine runs strong, and sounds good. No signs of overheating. Transmission is shifting fine and the overdrive engages with no problems. I have put about 100 miles on it since it came out of the warehouse.
- I fitted two new rear mufflers to replace the rotted out ones.
- No A/C the compressor is on the engine, but missing lines, and radiator condenser.
- Clear title
