1968 Chevrolet Camaro Track Car
100+ Pictures - VIDEO walk around

Hey, thanks for swinging by and checking out our 1968 Chevy Camaro Track car.I have a good friend who has owned this car for the last 25 years. He asked me to help him sell it here on eBay.If you want to come and take a look at it, I would be glad to show it to you, it is located here with me Salem, Oregon. So here is a little history on this Camaro overall. There is a very thorough 30 minute video, inside, out, driving and undercarriage, that will help even more so check it out below in the pictures it is on Youtube down below, or just search Denwerks Camaro on Youtube to check it out.

This car was purchased by my friend in 1993. It was already being converted to be a race car, so it fit the bill perfectly for what he wanted to do to it. He was in the NorCal SAC club, and he knew a great race car builder down in the San Jose area, who is well known for building Shelby’s and Cobras and other race cars.So with his friends help, he built it into a track car with the help of Elliot Franklin of the Mustang Corral in San Jose. The build was completed in 2005, but it took him some time, from 1993-2005, as time allowed, and looking for the right set up and components.I have a lot of receipts and specs on the car overall, mechanically it is in great condition and ready to roll. One of the best things about the car, is the reliability factor, this car has never let him down.Keep it maintained, turn the key and race it!!

The cockpit is fitted with a 10-point roll cage, Procar fixed back seats with5-point RJS safety harnesses, a Spacecraft 3-nozzle fire suppression system, and a cool suit system as well as a stock dash and door panels. It has Engine, Cockpit and trunk fire suppression and cool suit system.A Grant steering wheel is mounted on a quick-disconnect hub. AutoMeter gauges installed in a carbon fiber panel include a 120 mph speedometer, voltmeter, oil pressure gauge, and oil and coolant temperature gauges. Approximately 3,300 miles are shown on the mechanical odometer, with total chassis mileage unknown.
The engine is a solid lifter 355ci small-block V8 with casting number 3970010 andfeatures 4-bolt main. The engine was magnafluxed, hot tanked, and line boredby Techcraft, who also reconditioned the connecting rods and polished the crankshaft.Techcraft then assembled the engine back in 2004, there is a Techcraft Assembly Sheet in the listing, among other receipts. When he took the the car to Elliot Frankin in 2005, to be put together, Elliot himself double checked everything in the engine to make sure everyone was in order, better to have 2 sets of eyes on a car like this, especially when you are talking about high performance engines. The final engine build overall, 10.75:1 pistons, steel cylinder heads, newvalve guides, a roller camshaft with solid lifters, Hooker headers, and a 2.5″ exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, etc.

Transmission is aMuncie M20 4-speed manual transmission is fitted with a Lakewood scatter shield, Kevlar clutch disc, and Hurst Competition Plus shifter. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Ford 9″ rear end with a 3.25:1 TrueTrac limited-slip differential. Baer brake calipers are fitted with Powerstop rotors and competition pads front and rear.American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are fitted with 17″ Nitto NT01 tires measuring 225/40 at the front and 275/40 at the rear.It is running Global West A arms, multi-leaf steel rear leaf springs, Koni shocks, welded subframe connectors.

So the condition of the car mechanically, Today, it is in great shape, it has run a lot of Track Days here in Oregon and Washington, mostly in the Seattle and Portland area.It was on the track last summer for the last time.Only reason they are selling it, is because he now is in his 70’s and he has some more things he would like to do during his lifetime, he has had his fun with this car, and it has been a hoot, but need a new hobby that isn’t so fast.

When you watch the video you will pick up on more info etc.Recent work that has been done, he always uses Joe Gibbs Racing oil, takes 9 quarts, it has just been change. The valve guide seals have just been changed, with valve guide adjustment just performed and Accel plugs.General maintenance overall is all it has ever needed. It is running water wetter as well.Rear passenger side axle seal was replaced. Other things it could use down the road, the mufflers have 2 holes in them, rest of the pipes are in good shape, the mufflers could be repaired, but easy enough to put new ones on.The rear main seal is leaking a little bit when it sits, a couple drips here and there, when it is running not an issue, not really leaking, my friend said it has done this since day one.A little seepage you will see around the transmission, and around lines in general, but nothing out of the ordinary. As you know they engines produce a lot of power, pressure etc, and small leaks etc, are pretty common. When it is running, especially at idle, you will see some black smoke, this old girl runs pretty rich.

Overall it is ready to go in general, I could write a bunch more about the car, but take time and watch the 30 minute Youtube video, and view all the photos, over 100 of them, it will tell you a lot about the car, inside, out, underneath, it is a very thorough video.
I have always done Auctions here on Ebay in the past. But honestly, I think people just want a price, and we can go from there, give me a call, if you are serious about owning this one, call me, and make an offer, find out more information, and yes come and see it in person if you like first. Thank You, Jason - DENWERKS - 503-910-2085

I've sold classic cars on eBay since 2003. During the past 15 years, I have sold around 1000 classic cars sold online through eBay, Craigslist and BringATrailer auctions to buyers across the country and internationally, including Europe, Dubai, Australia, Japan and Brazil, just to name a few.
What I love about these old cars, is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time, I have turned this passion into a business, but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. I've enjoyed getting to know other car enthusiast from all over the Continent, especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars.
If you would like to call me and talk about the car, that would be great. I would love to help you out. Feel free to schedule a day to come out before you bid or send a friend, inspector or transporter. Although I always try to detail every nuance with the vehicles, it is always better if possible to see it with your own eyes. I am close to a major airport and many transportation options.
These are classic vehicles with lots of history. They are used, and not perfect. They don’t have warranties or guarantees. Each vehicle is sold as-is. There are many reputable inspectors in and around Salem and I will accommodate their schedules. I try to give a good description and post at least 75 photos so you can get a good gauge of what it is, and isn’t. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085
