1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 4 speed manual 350

Description

Up for sale is a nice 1976 Corvette Stingray. The Vette is white with black interior and with the fairly rare 4 speed manual transmission. This thing is fun to drive. I haven't had it all that long as I seem to bounce through older vehicles as a hobby fairly often. I will post a lot of pictures and describe everything as best as I can.
Exterior:The exterior of this vehicle is not perfect but it is pretty darngood. It has a pretty nice white paint job but does have a few blemishes. There is a crack in the paint on the hood. It was like this when I got it. It will he shown in the pictures. In the front around the headlights there are some paint chips as well. The paint on the T-tops look good minus one spot of minor chipping.
Interior:The interior of this Corvette is in great shape. I think the seats must have been redone as they are nearly flawless. The carpet and dash look nice as well but does show its age a bit. The same with the door panels. The dashpad has a crack in the middle but it does not look bad.
Engine/drivetrain:It has the rock solid Chevy 350. I do not know if this is the original engine, but the previous owner thought it was. I never bothered to check further into this as I did not figure it would matter much with this particular year. It starts up everytime and runs great. Clutch seems to be in good shape as it shifts fine into all gears. Has a small oil drip and appears to be from the valve covers. It can be smelled burning off the headers when it is running.
Other Mechanical:The emergency brake does not work. The mechanism in the handle itself seems to work fine but it will not keep the car from rolling. I think maybe the brake function of this system needs to be broken free. It does have four wheel disk brakes and they work great. The Vette stops easily and smoothly. Its a little cold natured on startup but does not take it long to warm up and run smooth. This vette has a good sound to it. All the gauges and what not work as they should with the exception of the gas gauge. It works but does not accurately represent what is in the tank. The popup headlights work good on the vacuum. The passenger side is slightly out of alignment but they go up and down as they should. Turn signals and such all work, including high beams. Windshield wipers do not work currently but I never drive it in the rain so I hadn't bothered to troubleshoot that bug yet.
Undercarriage:The frame on this car is rock solid. The only notable concern of rust underneath is the passenger side floor pan. A person would want to look at replacing this at some point. It appears at some point the heater core leaked and caused this as everything else underneath is fine. Tires and wheels are good. Has the rally wheels with beauty rings and the Corvette metal caps. Tires have a lot of tread left and are not dry rotted.
Overall:This Corvette is in great shape and is very enjoyable to drive. It was a factory a/c car but does not have the AC components. New owner will probably want to put a new water pump on it soon as I don't feel it moves water like it should. Havent had any trouble with it overheating but all I do is scoot around town in it from time to time. Have not ventured out on any long road trips or anything like that.
About the auction and sale:I am putting a buy it now price for this Corvette at $12,000. I think that is a fair price for this car and that is what I would like to get for it. My reserve for the auction is set at $10,500 as that is the lowest I would be willing to go. I like to list all this information because it is always asked in questions anyway, so I think it saves some time. I have been up front up with everything I know about this Corvette. The 4 speed manual transmission makes it a blast to drive and it is a head turner. This will also be for sale locally with the same price specifications so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time once it is sold. If it is sold locally, I will immediately cancel the auction on ebay.
