1976 Chevrolet Silverado K10 4x4 Truck
Description
Up for auction is a beautiful, super clean red 1976 Chevrolet K10 four wheel drive pick-up truck. The truck runs and drives great; it was my daily driver for a couple of years. Summer of 2015 I had a brand new Chevrolet 350 crate motor installed, due to the old 350 burning too much oil. The shop went through the transmission while they were at it and verified everything was fine with the tranny. The new 350 engine starts and idles real smooth, and the turbo 350 transmission shifts great, as it should. I also installed a new mini starter as well (smaller, lighter weight, and cranks the motor faster). The engine bay is super clean as most everything is new, or freshly painted. (optima battery, radiator, air condition components, brake booster/master cylinder). I just had a brand new front drive shaft built. The driveshaft shop said the new shaft has a higher number spline count. (can’t remember the exact spline count at the moment). I just installed a new receiver hitch in the back. I am big on using anti-seize on the bolts, and putting a light coat of grease on some surfaces that might encounter rust. (like the receiver hitch). I did the same (lightly grease coat) between wheel well moldings and fenders. I always keep all moving parts on the truck well lubricated with oil. There is only light surface rust on the leaf springs, which is normal, and a couple of small bubbles (size of BB’s) on the lower back of the driver side cab. Other than that the truck is rust free. Also, there are a couple of places where the body paint clear coat is deteriorating; the driver side very top of fender, and some on the roof of the cab. Earlier this year I had new WARN four wheel drive manual hubs, and new bearings installed. The four wheel drive works great, although I have never used it. Every once in a while I will shift the NP205 transfer case through the gears, and go around the neighborhood block, which is not that far. The order of the transfer case gears from top (front of the truck) to bottom (back of the truck) is 4 LOW, NEUTRAL, 2 HIGH, 4 HIGH. There are no exhaust leaks through the dual 40 series Flowmaster exhaust, the turn signals work, brake lights work, head lights work, bright lights work, horn works, windshield wipers work, radio works, air conditioning works, gas gauge works. The truck has dual “saddle bag” gas tanks. The gas gauge works good along with the fuel tank switch. I have never had a problem with inspection on the truck. I also have a set of 15 x 12 weld super single wheels that came with the truck when I first acquired it. I wanted more of an original vintage wheel look so I had U.S. Wheel custom make a set of five 15 x 12 wheels. The Weld wheels will come with the truck. There is a full size spare tire and wheel cover which is cable locked down in the bed. The bed is Rhino lined for protection. All five wheels are the exact same, 37 x12.50 Super Swamper Irok tires mounted on U.S. Wheel 15 x 12 wheels. Each wheel has a lug nut lock. The Suspension is a 6” Rancho suspension system. The front and rear have dual shocks per side and the rear suspension has anti-axle wrap shocks placed horizontally. The steering has dual steering stabilizers. I stopped driving the truck as a daily driver last fall (2015) as I acquired a third vehicle. I still drive it to work every once in a while, but mostly just on the weekends now. The title of the truck is clear, (I own the truck). I have an old Dodge Challenger I would probably invest the funds from the truck into. Thanks for looking and hope the truck will find a great new home, as I have taken well care of the truck. Please check out the videos below. Let me know if you have any questions (Chris 361-688-1566). I have more pictures if needed. Buyer is responsible for delivery of the truck. I know someone you can start with on the shipping. Our zip code is 78414. Feel free to bring a trailer if you want. I have never driven the truck out of town but would definitely trust the truck to do so. Funds must be fully transferred in my bank before I release the truck. Usually a wire transfer is the easiest.
