Description

Turns out you can afford an eye-catching, custom vintage V8 pickup. But there's more to this 1948 Chevrolet truck than just value pricing. Take some time to look over this very unique design.Funny how the classic silhouettes wear contemporary colors so well. You could get light blue from Chevrolet in 1948, but would have never been such a wild color as Teal Blue Metallic. This is one has been nicely customized in areas like the painted grille and de-chromed hood that purposely give this one a more modern appearance. It's not to say that this one doesn't have nice brightwork, but without out a shiny overload, you get to appreciate the elements like wraparound front bumper and American Racing Torq Thrust wheels much more. What's really going to make people take notice is the truck bed. It's a late model unit that has been custom fit to look like its been attached to this Chevy from day one. It not only gives the pickup an unmistakably unique appearance, but it also means a modern fiberglass bed cover snugly fits over the now-upholstered truck bed.Inside plenty of more custom work continues. You first notice the dashboard has had the gauge panel from a Chevy truck half its age seamlessly integrated into the original setup. It has provisions for air conditioning and a newer AM/FM/cassette radio. The seat has also been upgraded to a more modern setup. The split bench has seating for three when you needed it and an armrest for individual comfort when it's just a duo. The upholstery is a cool gray fabric with blue inserts in the same tone as the exterior color. This motif is repeated on the door panel and the headliner, which includes a cool Chevy bow tie.The standard Thriftmaster six-cylinder engine that came with this Chevy would never do in a truck this cool. Instead, it upgrades to iconic small-block power with a 350 cubic-inch V8. One turn of the key, and you'll know this has some serious performance potential (of course, the throaty rumble from the long tube headers and dual exhaust helps, too.) But this is much more than just a unique pickup to show off on the custom car scene. There's a lot of comfort in this truck. It has a three-speed automatic transmission and power steering for all-day cruising. Plus, it has been upgraded to an independent front suspension that includes the confidence of disc brakes. It's all capped off with new Cooper Cobra tires. Here's that perfect pickup that nicely blends old and new style into one custom build. The only problem is you're not the only one who has noticed the affordable price. Hurry up and call today!!!
