Description

You can't help but fall in love/lust with this mean machine. With the immaculate copper paint, upgraded drivetrain, four-on-the-floor, and a thumpin' 500+ hp V8 under the hood, this restored 1964 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has the right look, sound, and attitude to never go unnoticed. This car has the kind of quality that you see as you're walking up to it, and almost everyone says, "Wow, that's a nice car!" when they see it for the first time. Something about the depth of the paint, the alignment of the bodywork, and the overall presentation that gets all the details right makes it stand above the rest. That's the hallmarks of a quality restoration! Every gap looks like it was drawn with a pencil, exactly the same width and laser-straight. The headlight doors fit flush and operate smoothly, the chrome bumpers hug the body shell so tightly there's barely room for a piece of paper between them, and all the little pieces were either polished, plated, or replaced to make it sparkle. One place there is less shine is on the black stinger hood and matching folding soft top, just so this polished presentation has some standout aggressive touches. These black and chrome accents merge perfectly on the 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. Corvettes might be made of lightweight fiberglass, but this copper-colored car has the level of quality that makes it feel like a precious metal.Just like the exterior, the interior was restored for an aggressive touch. The color was changed to all black, because that's what the best '60s power machines have. Great new touches were added, but everything respects the classic Corvette presentation. For example there's a digital tuner AM/FM/cassette stereo w/auxiliary input that looks period correct with it's bright knob-style appearance, but now it does a better job of powering the upgraded speaker system. There are leather bucket seats from a '67 Stingray installed. Plus, there are new, clearer AutoMeter gauges installed in the original placement in front of the classic three-spoke steering wheel w/power steering. Overall, it's the kind of experience you'll love because it still feels like a vintage machine, but now you've got all the right upgrades. But you're favorite part of this standout 'Vette will undoubtedly be under the hood. You'll love showing this motor off thanks to shiny features like the fined Edelbrock valve covers, matching air cleaner, and even the polished alternator. But beyond the shine is some serious substance. That might be a small block Chevy, but it earns its stinger hood status by being able to teach the big blocks a thing or two. The 350 cubic-inch motor has been specially built with Eagle connecting rods, forged steel crank, Crower cams & lifters, Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, Holley 770 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Hedman headers, and plenty more (too much to list here but call for all the details.) Just know it makes an estimated 520 horsepower, and the wicked rumble of the Flowmaster dual exhaust lest everyone know it. But power is nothing without control. That's why you're always in charge with the four-speed manual transmission, 10-bolt Positraction rear end, and a versatile 3.36 ratio. The four-wheel disc brakes have been upgraded with a package from SSBC, and there's plenty of grip with the Cooper Cobra tires. This is a full custom build that looks great and can handle its huge power, which means you always arrive in style. Plus we've got plenty of restoration photos to share this car's journey. A great build like this may only come around once in a lifetime, so call today!
