1978 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 C-20 Cheyenne

Description

1978 Chevrolet Cheyenne C-20, 2wd, with Deluxe Camper Special package (Z83). Largely original except for a recent repaint in the original Cardinal Red and Frost White colors. All original sheet metal with the only rust repair required being on the lower, right cab corner. New door seals, new headliner, new windshield (was hazed) and gasket, new radiator and new shocks. Inside of the pickup bed is very straight and refinished in color matching bed liner material. Mileage shows as 10100, and is most certainly turned over once. Date of manufacture is 03/78.
Original OEM items include:454, 4 bbl, 240 hp motor - no cat converters and no air pump.Motor does not appear to have been out of the vehicle.
Tilt wheel, cruise control, tachometer.TH400 transmission - 8200GVWR - 4:11 rear end ratio - Positraction.Rear stabilizer bar - dual gas tanks - AC converted to R134 and is functional.16.5" factory steel wheels with original hubcaps - rear slider window.Original (not recovered) seat, steering wheel, dash and carpet.Factory camper tie down system with all components including bed tie down brackets,Inside bed shock absorbers, fender mounted shocks for cab over camper support.Slide out rear bumper mounting system included, but not on vehicle.Non original stereo with working 8 track.
Issues include:Cruise control is not functional, but all components are there.Left fuel tank sending unit does not register on dash fuel gauge.Gas tanks, left and right, were replaced several years ago.
Dash pad has two 3" cracks through the left and right side of the dash speaker holes.The under bed spare tire mounting system is included, but not mounted, since the slide outrear bumper brackets originally interfered with the spare tire.The pickup bed camper tie down bracket holes are filled with painted rubber plugs that are easily removed.
Very highly optioned, low mileage and reasonably uncommon pickup. Runs out well. Tires are 60% and the truck has recently been mechanically serviced, checked and aligned.
