Description

Here is another old 66 Chevy truck I found .Made in Fremont Ca. with original black plates been in Ca. it's whole life .Wouldn't take much to be driving this to town or use it on your T.V. show putting a LS motor in it .Has a pretty good body with some dents but not much rust.Has some old body work on the hood but I think the rest is original paint.Lots of sun faded patina. It took a hard hit to the front of the truck at some time in the past . The bumper, grill, and hood are probably ruined and the front frame horns are bent .It looks to my uneducated eye that the damage only goes back to the crossmember. I can supply more pics of this if needed.Anyway it doesn't seem to affect the way it drives as it rides and steers very nice for one of these old trucks and thats with OLD bias tires on the back and radials on the front.Brakes work good not at all scary to drive.I enjoy finding these old trucks and getting them to people who want to give them new life so I don't do a lot of repairs that may not be needed depending on what the buyer has in mind. This truck runs pretty good,Starts right up,idles good, probably needs a carb rebuild it has a mid range miss also needs a exhaust donut gasket. Motor paint looks like it was probably a rebuilt motor at some time also has newer looking starter and alternator.Three speed on the column works good .The worst rust is on the door sills from leaves being left inside no holes in the kick panels but they have some rust .Cab corners are good, uncut dash, bed is solid except for front stake pocket is messed up and front panel has some dents, wheel wells good, no bedwood left, cab visor and drip rail good, doors are goo, front fenders are solid but have dents .I'm no fan of Barden bumpers found on most old trucks around here but this has the coolest one I've seen, it was cut with great skill and a swing out spare tire carrier made into it .Also has a old cruise control (untested) and a prehistoric looking motion detector. Has a clean Ca. title but does have almost $800 in back fees anyone in California needs to be aware of .I do not THINK any other state collects Ca. back fees but?? I will answer any other questions the best I can .Thanks Dave 530 Two Hundred 4427
