1958 Custom Pro-Touring Restomod Corvette convertible was built ground up with a brand new ZERO mile 6.2 Liter LT1 direct-injected C7 Corvette engine with 460hp and 465lb-lbs torque along with a brand new 4L70e automatic transmission. It has a beautifully detailed engine bay with smoothed firewall and sculpted fender wells. The car sits on an Art Morrison GT sports chassis with IFS C7 front suspension kit, a triangulated 4-bar rear suspension with a 9" rear end, and power rack & pinion. The frame was powder coated a semi gloss/satin black and the control arms and rear suspensionarepolished alum for a nice contrast. The car has Wilwood brakes with C7 6-Piston calipers on 13" rotors. The car rides on custom Budnik wheels, staggered 19" in the back and 18" in front with inner wheel custom painted to match coves. The body was stripped down to bare fiberglass and blocked over and over to make it perfectly laser straight along with perfect body gaps, lines, and curves. The car was painted with House of Kolor Jet Black and finished with House of Kolor clear. Every piece of metal on the car has been either chromed or polished and has a mirror like finish. Air conditioning is provided by Vintage Air with period correct vents. Keyless entry and push button start is the beginning of the amazing Ferrari-inspired interior. The dash is wrapped in Alcantara suede imported from Italy. The top of the line Nappa leather alsowasimported from Italy. The steering wheel is custom wrapped to match the dash and seats and is connected to a chrome Ididit steering column. The gauge cluster is replaced with the Dakota Digital HDX series gauges. This car retains all of the beauty of the original car with the functionality, comfort and reliability of a modern car making it the ultimate dream ride.
