This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette is a St. Louis-built convertible that was produced on July 9, 1963 finished in Riverside Red over red vinyl. Riverside Red (923A) is the original color according to the data plate, and a repaint was reportedly performed at some point in the past. Detailed photos of the pop-up headlights, trim, and lenses are provided in the gallery, along with images of paint chips and other minor imperfections.
Power is from a non-original 327ci V8 equipped with Rochester fuel injection and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was reportedly refurbished under previous ownership, and other equipment includes 4-wheel disc brakes and reproduction turbine-stylewheels. A black soft top is pictured on the car above, and a set of Western Wheels turbine alloys are fitted with knock-off spinners. Disc brakes and Delco Moraine calipers are equipped all around. Bucket seats are trimmed in red vinyl and equipped with matching lap belts. A vertically-mounted stereo remains in place, and the factory steering wheel is cracked. Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer as well as a tachometer with a 6,500 rpm redline.
The 5-digit odometer currently shows under 75k miles. The 327ci V8 was installed under previous ownership and features a Rochester fuel-injection system. Shifting is through a Borg-Warner 4-speed manual transmission, and an inspection was carried out by the selling dealer.
