The iconic "Bubbletop" Impala is one of the best bodystyles in classic car history, and we have been blessed to foster over 25 of them over the years to satiate our love for them. Stock, modified, bagged, chopped...whatever, the car is just the epitome of cool no matter how its built. This particular 1960 Impala came to us straight from a private collection out of SWFL, and it is an incredibly clean example and a fantastic running and driving machine too! The body on the car is solid GM steel all around, and the panel fit and gaps rival any other example on the market. The Brandywine Metallic finish is beautiful, and a refreshing change from the endless array of black or Roman Red examples you always see. The paint is only a few years old, so it sill shows shiny, slick, and clean all around and only has the typical small blemishes from normal use that you would expect to see. Go through all 150 photos supplied below, and you will find that other than a stone chip, small scuff, etc. it shows wonderfully, and is always a hit at any car show or event you take it to. Chrome and bright work is in very good condition all around, and show no dents, damage, or issues. Inside, the interior shows like new, with black houndstooth seating that has NO rips, tears, seam pulls, stains, or damage. Dash is exceptionally clean, with nice trim, gauge surrounds, and switchgear. All gauges work as they should, and the radio plays perfectly too! Lights, wipers, turn signals, and interior lights work as they should, and the Vintage Air climate control system functions as it should from the factory style control panel. Steering wheel is in excellent condition, as are the shift arm, signal arm, and steering column. Carpeting is like new, and shows no signs of any damage or disrepair. Headliner is neat and firmly attached, as are the dual sun visors. Door panels are in exceptional condition, as are the trim pieces, door handles, and window rollers. Trunk opens to reveal a clean and neat storage area complete with correct radial tire spare, jack, and lug wrench. Mat is clean and nice, and the floor is solid and uncut like the rest of the pans. Chassis is original to the car, but has been maintained, modernized, and upgraded over the years to make it ready to drive anywhere. It is solid, clean, and rust/rot free, but has not been detailed and painted since this car was used to actually "drive" places and not just sit in a trailer. Power steering and disc/drum braking make it drive so easy, anyone in the family can pilot it, and modern radial tires on Billet Specialties 17" wheels handle great and look good doing it. The car has a rebuilt Powerglide transmission matched to a 327ci Corvette V8 that was purpose-built for the car. It starts with a turn of the key, idles clean, and kicks down quickly so it's ready for action. It has a nice mellow rumble, with a good bark under hard throttle. Snick the Powerglide into gear, and it is "go time". Drive it normal, and it'll cruise along with luxury car ride and handling that makes trips to the next town a blast. Mat the pedal, and it takes off with a squeal of tire and will easily catch second too if you keep feeding it fuel. It is really happy around 65mph, but will easily handle 70-75 on the freeway too. It stops straight and clean with no pulling or wander. It handles perfectly, and does not pull to the side at all. It has seen regular use and received regular maintenance. I have personally put about 50 miles on the car, and found it to be a joy to drive. Currently, everything works as it should on the car including: BRAKE LIGHTS PARKING LIGHTS HEADLAMPS TAIL LAMPS HIGH BEAMS TURN SIGNALS WINDSHIELD WIPERS INTERIOR LIGHTS HORN RADIO AIR CONDITIONING It has been safety checked, and it is ready for a new owner. That’s about all I can tell you, but I encourage questions and addition photo requests if it helps you make a decision. READ THE AD COMPLETELY. LOOK AT ALL OF THE EXTRA LARGE PHOTOS PROVIDED. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET - NO DISAPPOINTMENTS. I took photos of it from every angle I could, and I encourage you to ask questions, come see it, or arrange for an inspection PRIOR TO BUYING IT. I don't have anything to hide, and have tried to cover every part of the vehicle as best I could. It has a clean and clear title, and is ready for a new owner. The vehicle is located in our Fort Myers, FL warehouse, and is just 15 minutes away from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) if you want to fly in and see it. I welcome outside inspection services BEFORE YOU BUY OR BID.
