Over the course of his ownership the car saw quite a bit of going-through, having had a fully rebuilt and lightly modified 327ci V8 and a TH350 automatic transmission swapped in. As the car sits now, it’s a very nicely-sorted, well-presented example in need of nothing more than an owner who will use and enjoy it. Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Every single blemish is shown close-up and under direct sunlight. - While the car was originally Matador Red, it now wears a respray in an excellent-looking orange/red. Paint was done to a high standard, with no visible run, peeling, or anything of the sort. - Chrome is mirror-like throughout. No damage or oxidation. - Rally wheels are in great shape, with no oxidation or damage. Goodyear Eagle GTII tires are in great shape all around, with minimal wear and no dryness, though we are not positive as to their manufacturing date. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. - Doors fit/open/close very nicely. Panel gaps are spot-on all around. Interior: - Interior is in impressive shape. Please defer to the photos/video, but there are no significant scuffs or blemishes throughout the interior. Bench seat is excellent. Door panels are free of any kicked-open markings. Sills are clean and polished. The only real signs of age or wear in the interior is the black carpet, which shows some fraying underneath the driver’s floor mat. - Odometer reads 86,405 though true chassis mileage is unknown. There is only about 300 miles on the rebuilt motor. An aftermarket tachometer has been mounted on top of the column, which is functional. Steering wheel adjust is functional. Heat and fan are functional (on every setting but high). R12 air conditioning is not functional though the components are present. Wipers work, all lights and signals are functional as well. - Upgraded stereo (JSD-20158) with both AUX and USB inputs lights up but doesn’t actually play music. We’ll leave the radio for the next guy to sort out. - Dash pad has no cracks, warping, or discoloration. Speakers have been fitted in either side of the dash, as well as just behind the driver and passenger. Under the Hood / Underbody: - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as it’s documented in detail. Underbody is fantastic. No through rust whatsoever. Very much structurally sound. No active leaks either. The underbody appears to have been professionally undercoated at some point and it has served its purpose. Magnaflow mufflers appear relatively new. The car sounds great; it’s quiet at idle and cruising, but the 327 sure makes its presence known when you get on it. - The car runs and drives extremely well. Truly no tendencies of any concern. Fly in and drive home with confidence. The car starts first turn, idles cool and steady, pulls hard and without hesitation, shifts perfectly smooth, and brakes straight and effectively. An excellent driver. The car tracks straight down the road and steering is nice and direct. With any further questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to Jake at 773-303-6122.
