Description

Up for sale is a #'s matching 1971 Corvette LT1 convertible project. This car belongs to a customer of mine. It was delivered to my shop a few years ago as a complete vehicle that needed a full restoration. As time has gone by, my customer's priorities have changed and he has asked me to list the car for sale for him. It is located in my shop in Ottawa, OH. The car has been completely torn down with all parts being kept minus the carpet, floor mats, and sunvisors. Listed below is what has either been purchased and/or completed. There is still a lot of work to be done to this car, but it is all here including the original tank sticker. It also has both the soft and hard top. The last few pictures show the car as I began the tear-down.
Chassis and all parts that were going to be reused on it have been blasted and powder coated in semi-gloss blackNew stainless brake and fuel linesNew correct aluminum body mounts and shim kitOriginal cylinder heads have been rebuiltOriginal 4 speed transmission has been rebuilt
The long block still needs to be freshened up. It is still standard bore with the original pistons and "pink" rods. The car was last driven in the mid 80's and had been in storage since then until it was delivered to my shop. The body shows normal "Corvette" wear and tear like cracks around the headlights and bumps from the headlight support panel rivets (circled in the pictures). Overall, the car is in good condition, but will need a lot to finish. The original color was gold and was repainted by the owners father long ago in the burgundy color you see. I have taken over 130 pictures of the car since it arrived which can be provided to the buyer if they like.
I own and operate a full service restoration shop here in Ottawa, Ohio with over 30 years experience. I have restored many cars of all makes and models including an NCRS award winning 1969 427 Tri-Power Corvette. I can completely finish this Corvette and have it ready for you this year or I can perform any level of repair on it that you like. Please be aware that this car is NOT A ROLLER at this time!! It is sitting on the refinished chassis on top of my body cart. The buyer will need to be able to transport the car as a NON-ROLLER. I can assemble the car to be a roller, but that would be an additional expense and is not included in this auction. If you have any questions or would like to discuss having my shop finish the car for you, please message or call Nick at 419-523-6900 from 8am-4pm EST.
Please ask all questions prior to bidding. This is an AS-IS, Where-IS sale with no guarantees written, expressed, or implied. A $500 deposit is due immediately at the end of the auction with the balance due in 7 days. If paying by any means other than cash, all funds must clear before the vehicle or title will be released with no exceptions. The vehicle must be picked up within 14 days. Beyond 14 days I will have to charge a daily storage fee. Again, please call for any specific details.

I am very happy that this Corvette has generated so much interest so far. After going through some boxes that the owner brought with him when he dropped off the car, I have found the factory correct Holley 4801 3989021 carburetor, correct SMOG setup consisting of the pump, brackets, and manifold tubes. I also found a brand new white soft top in a box dated from 1977, (2) T-3 headlights (unknown condition), ignition shielding, (3) wiper motors, and some other miscellaneous parts that are all included. This is a very complete car.

Also forgot to include that this car has its original Protect-o-plate/warranty book and owners manual, but both have some small mouse holes. I cannot add anymore pictures to this listing, so please call or message me and I can send you pictures of whatever you need to see.
