Description

No it isnt pretty but its hella fun as a toy every redneck plays with. This is a 1994 Chevy Blazer 4WD full size. I bought this truck about a year ago and have replaced a few things on it to improve it.
New iridium tip spark plugs.
New Dragonfire ceramic spark plugs and wires.
New 100amp alternator.
New spectre air intake filter.
New M/T tires with less than 1000 miles worth of use.
New Yukon Gear limited slip differential with 3.73 gearing. (Worth $500)
Has a full roll cage installed with 3 Racequip racing harnesses installed for the rear bench. (Previous owner removed the harnesses from the driver and passenger seats. Still has working seat belts).
Fox racing shox all the way around(not new but in good shape).
Straight pipe exhaust to the rear. (sounds pretty good. Nothing crazy loud or annoying but enough to know that it's a V8 and it's present).
I believe the transmission is a 4L60e but not 100% sure. From what I know only the 6.5 diesel got the 4L80e transmission. But the transmission works great, no issues shifting.
Previous owner claimed to have stroked the motor to 383ci but I never proved it by taking it apart or measuring anything. As far as I was concerned it was still just a tbi 350.
4WD works however I never changed the gearing in the front axle so it is still at stock with 3.23 gearing so actually using 4WD may cause damage to the transfer case or an axle if it is used. Use at your own risk.
Now the bad part. The engine has a blown head gasket. Going above 35-40 miles per hour with more than half throttle results in lots of white smoke. The engine doesn't seem to care about low speeds but once it gets under stress it complians with some white smoke. At low speeds and low RPM it does not smoke. The blown head gasket is on the passenger side of the engine block. The motor still sounds very strong and healthy. If you're up for it, it might just need replaced and resealed and you've got a solid engine once again.
Other bad part. The roof is super rusty. I have no idea how it even happens like that but the roof is mega messed up. Everywhere else on the truck looks great. No rust along the truck except for the roof. It has huge holes. Wouldn't recommend on rainy drives to drive around.
It doesn't have A/C or a heater.
There is no Radio. I tried hooking one up but couldn't get it to work with current wiring in it(maybe a blown fuse? Or a cut wire somewhere? I'll give you the radio and wiring harness if you want to try and get it to work).
The wiring for the battery is also a little rough. i bought a nice 1000 amp battery but GM thinks its a good idea to use the side posts with bolts and the positive bolt has stripped threads in the side post terminal. it still works, truck starts right up and the alternator charges but i would definitely recommend a new battery and positive battery cable. but as is with some ghetto wiring it works.Also no rear windows, but if anything thats a positive as there is no AC so that creates some airflow when the front windows are rolled down.
Also the old rear end will come with the truck, it's just the stock 3.23 open differential. A hi-lift jack, (I never got around to mounting it(its brand new and never used, still has the original packaging on it. they run about $80 and are a hug help offroad). And a Jerry can I never got around to mounting either but it's pretty damn cool.
I paid for tags in 2018 that had been expired for 2 years and got it smogged. The tags just expired again for 2019, so if you pick it up sooner the cheaper it will be to get it registered again.
I would love to keep the truck but I'm moving out of state soon and don't have to room to work on it. If you want a fun toy for the desert or mountains this is it. But it does need some engine work. I got pricing from a shop to replace the head gasket and reseal it, and that would cost about 1400. To get the engine rebuilt would be about 2000-2500. So as another alternative I found is on Amazon from GM performance a crate engine for this truck for 2000 with free shipping. So that could be an option too and that would give you a brand new engine with warranty for 5 years.
I can only provide bill of sale. I don't know what happened but I never received the title from the DMV in the mail after I registered it. but it does appear to have a clean title if you can get ahold of it.
