Description

This is a beautiful 1972 corvette that has recently gone through many changes. I purchased it from what is believe to be the second owner who passed away while redoing the car his way.
  • Body was completely stripped, flares added and car painted Ruby Red Metallic
  • 4 bolt main 350 engine completely rebuilt. Engine came to me as a rebuilt short block with new bearings, pistons, rings. I had the machine shop go over everything and put it back together. Everything looked great. Heads received new valves and springs. New camshaft and lifters. New distributor, wires, valve covers, and air cleaner. Motor was broken into then sat for a short while as we completed the rest of the car. Unfortunately there seems to be a vacuum leak or maybe carburetor issue as the car doesn't want to stay on without gunning the engine. It was driven around the block only one time as the brakes were acting up, but more on that...
  • The brakes. Just about everything has been replaced. New calipers up front, new pads all the way around. Brake hoses have been replaced. New cross drilled rotors. New master cylinder and booster. New proportioning valve. The bad: Brakes feel weird. Could be it wasn't bled correctly cause everything has been redone. I'll let the new buyer figure it out if I don't get to it in time.
  • New Dougs headers and side pipes.
  • New universal wiring harness. Door pins and interior light has not been replaced as of yet.
  • Headlights were converted to electric motors and work great, no more vacuum operated lights.
  • new radiator and electric fan with thermostat switch.
  • Seats were completely redone with new foam cushion and seat covers. New seat belt and shoulder harness, if you want to attach.
  • new fuel tank and electric fuel pump with relay and cutoff switch
  • new optima battery with complete cutoff to the car except to the radio and clock. New alternator.
  • custom radio, looks original with cover but with turn of the switch goes to digital. New "Corvette" speakers in back.
  • Vintage Air Gen IV surefit A/C and heat is included with the vehicle. Most everything is hooked up inside the vehicles but the hoses and compressor belt still need to be attached and charged. I wanted to properly break in the car before I had the a/c working all the way. This was a $1300.00 a/c system and is brand new with everything.
  • New carpet and sound deadner inside most of the car floor. Some minor fiberglassing needs to be finished in the rear of the inside of the car due to the roll bar when it was attached. Did I mention there is a rear roll bar?
  • I have new OEM style gauges as well as the equus that are currently in the car. They all work except for the fuel gauge. Don't think they are matched to each other but sender and gauge are both new. I will also include the new OEM style gauges, some still in their boxes.
  • majority of the interior is there or has been replaced. Driver side door panel is missing and passenger side door panel is a different color but could be dyed to match. Locks and door handles still have to be placed and adjusted. Windows roll up and down fine.
  • most of the weatherstripping has been replaced, otherwise I probably have it ready to go in, including the passenger door. New T-top weather stripping in place as well as removable rear window.
  • New low beam and high beam headlamps,
  • chrome bumpers are in good condition but the paint shines so nice that I would have these rechromed. They don't the car any justice.
  • new rear original style 15x10 rims with trim rings and huge tires in the back.
  • New Hood.
Again, I only drove the car one time around the block and the brakes were bad enough that I took it back home immediately and never drove it again. I don't believe it is anything major has most of the brake system has been renewed but definitely feels like it needs to be bled.
Unfortunately, for the corvette, I have another car (a convertible firebird) that is taking up my time now so my loss is really your gain. A lot of time and money has gone into this car and is ready for the next person to complete. I can provide a video of the engine running. Feel free to call or text with any questions. 407-729-9992, I am located near Orlando if you wish to view the car in person. You won't be disappointed, this is a stunning car.
