Vintage Motorcars is proud to present this 1972 Chevrolet El Camino.
The Bright Red over Silver exterior paint shines beautifully and is of high quality. The base coat / clear coat was clearly applied in a professional spray booth, and not in someone's garage or back yard. The near complete lack of dust in the clear coat supports that theory. The sheet metal appears to mostly be original, so you know the door and hood gaps are near perfect. All the chrome and stainless is in beautiful condition, and shines like new! All the glass is in excellent shape as well as all the lights and bezels. All-in-all; the exterior of this car presents very well and would be considered to be much higher quality than 'driver'.
The interior is in excellent shape. The front bench seat appears to have been replaced recently and is free of rips, tears or cracks. The gauges, carpet,
headliner and steering wheel are all in great condition. For added convenience; this is a factory air conditioning truck which works just as it should.
The bed of this truck has a snap-in carpet so you can haul your chairs, tent and cooler to the shows without having to worry about scratching the bed.
Most importantly the GM small block 350 V8 roars to life with the simple twist of the key, and idles exactly like it should. This power plant will get you down the road with ease while providing the classic V8 rumble out of the dual pipes. The engine is mated to a TH350 automatic transmission with a nice highway gear for cruising. Both of which perform flawlessly with no smoke or hesitation.
Since the original engine is gone, and the paint is not correct to the trim tag... some would call this truck a "driver". That may be true; however, the quality of this truck far exceeds the typical definition of 'driver'!
