Description

Up for sale is my 1970 Chevy long bed pick up truck! It has a clear blue Texas title! It is in great mechanical condition and is used as my daily driver. 6 miles a day and parked on the weekends. The body has some rust as expected in the usual spots that most of these trucks have it in as you can see in the pics. The bed is in solid condition but the bed walls are heavily rusted. I am including an extra bed that has body work already done to the walls so all you have to do is swap them out. I will add photos of the bed that is included in this sale tomorrow. I will also include a one piece rear window. The rust in my opinion gave it character so I personally couldn't bring myself to swap the bed sides out. I took a grinder and wire brush to the worst side of the bed to see if I could patina it up but I failed miserably. This thing would be an easy restore if that's what you choose to do. The interior is in pretty clean overall condition. Floors are solid and carpet is a bit faded but would dye nicely. Interior of cab is painted a vibrant purple as is the engine compartment area. It has a 350 engine with what I was told is a mild cam. It also comes with headers, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock high rise intake, Edelbrock valve covers, and Accel racing ignition just to name a few of the mods done to it. The engine is not original from what I was told. It was purchased as a rebuilt engine then modified. I have owned it for 3 years and have never had a mechanical breakdown other than replacing the battery. I also recently added an Edelbrock carburetor kit just to freshen it up. This thing runs great! Engine does not leak oil, knock, or smoke. It has a 3 speed transmission that shifts as smooth as butter. The tranny does have a seal that leaks transmission fluid so I have to add a little every month or so. Should be an easy fix! All lights, guages, horn, blinkers, stereo, locks, doors work well. The driver window support bracket is broken so the window has to be held closed by cramming something between the glass and door frame to hold it up. All minor problems for a 45 year old truck! The seats are not original and the console is custom as you can see. It includes a small amp and speakers built in to the box. There are 45 year old'swho don't have a body as straight as this truck! It is a great driving truck as well! Should make someone real happy! Junk in the trunk not included! Please ask any and all questions! Happy bidding!
