Up for Sale is my Very Rare and Usual 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible. A great collect car and a must have for a Canadian Collection.
It is a rare Canadian Plant Built 1957 car in rarest color Paint #1011 LimeFire Green Metallic with the Ivory convertible top and Interior Trim #677 Silver & Ivory as coded on it's trim tag
It had a frame off restoration taking 2+ years completed in 2008. Drivetrain is the 283 power pak engine 4 barrel carb/220 hp and the original powerglide transmission. It has a number of options and everything works perfectly even the original clock and Wonderbar AM radio, Tissue box holder, Traffic light viewer, Padded dash, Power steering ) PS was an original option), Power front disc brakes (has been added), Dual attenna's, Wheel cover spinners, Power convertible top).
In the pictures you will notice an alternator has replaced generator. Original generator with made in Canada stamp has been rebuilt and Original Canadian block heater will go with the car at sale.
I purchased the car in 2001 from a Toronto dealer and Imported it into the US where I have a clear California title in hand.
It is a great car for a collection or for personal use and shows. It drive great.
Asking price is $129,000 US based on 2019 sales at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale Auction.Price on the '57's convertibles continue to rise and this one is extra special compared to the mostly seen or restored Red or Black or Teal ones.
