In the world of Camaros, there are plenty of cars that have great street presence. And then there are cars, like this incredible SEMA custom, that are wicked manifestations of high octane and pure adrenaline! Built to drop jaws at the world's most outrageous custom car show, this razor-sharp Chevy is the direct result of what happens when serious gearheads spend $420K infusing timeless American muscle with the best attributes of Italian supercars. With one twist of its key, 6.2 liters of LS9 V8 roar to life, reinforcing those aggressive looks with outrageous performance. When rubber bites the pavement, a full Detroit Speed suspension and beefy Tremec 6-speed afford a steady diet of modern era poseurs that's seasoned with the occasional golden age classic. And if you're a discerning gearhead who's looking for some world class metal that crosses legendary heritage with a bit of fresh DNA, it's the stuff your dreams are made of!

BODYWORK/TRIM

Titled Ultimate Sixty Seven, and completely designed, built and finished by Ultimate Auto of Orlando, Florida this lust worthy F1 was sent straight to the 2013 SEMA Show where it shared the spotlight with creations from Chip Foose and Troy Trepanier. That spotlight was cast by BASF, who sourced the three rides as eye candy for their massive commercial booth. And this member of that trio was commissioned for a total cost of $420K. Naturally, BASF builds were meant to highlight BASF paints, which, on this custom Chevy, reflects as gorgeous Carizzma Ruthless Red 2-stage. When the show wrapped, the car took the cover of Rides Magazine, became a JL Audio signature car, and won numerous awards and accolades at an array of national shows. And today, it offers one discerning collector the exclusive chance to own some truly one-of-a-kind muscle!

There's no question that the first generation Camaro is one of the best-looking muscle cars of all time. And when a team of skilled builders executes a bit of carefully planned customization, it only serves to make things better! At the front of this sophisticated coupe, a hand-fabricated grille hangs a polished crossbar and JW Speaker LED headlights above a custom valance, a custom carbon fiber splitter, and a painted, sectioned and recessed bumper. Above that grille, a pinned ZL-2 hood leads the eye to a custom cowl and flush-fit glass that's wrapped in hand-laid carbon fiber roof skin. At the sides of that hood, a shaved profile centers custom mirrors and modern door handles above hand-fabricated rockers that flare to 2-inch widened quarters. Those quarters frame a seamless deck filler panel, which flows into a modified trunk lid and custom rear valance that's complete with inverted, '69 Camaro-style taillights. And those LEDs illuminate a '67 Camaro-style fuel filler, a second painted, sectioned and recessed bumper, and snazzy billet splitters.

ENGINE

Capping 6.2 liters of octane-laced displacement with a brutal Eaton supercharger, the Chevrolet Performance V8 rumbling beneath this Camaro's custom engine cover is a 21st century testament to the bowtie division's enduring small block. Derived from the Corvette C6R racing program, and hand-assembled at GM's Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan, the top-of-the-line LS9 incorporates specialty processes typically seen in competition engines to produce a highly refined and precise driving experience. The foundation is an aluminum block that utilizes pressed in cylinder liners to accommodate added pressure from the positive-displacement, roots-type blower. That blower feeds a forged steel crank, cast aluminum flat-top pistons and a high performance cam, which complement a high-flow intake and lightweight aluminum heads. Integrated charge cooling and dry-sump oiling ensure the engine stays hydrated. Exhaust rattles through polished long-tube headers. A Speed Engineering serpentine drive keeps everything charged and spinning. Mast Motorsports engine management ensures all components communicate well. And, despite producing a staggering 638 horsepower and 604 lb./ft. of torque, the mill still passes emissions, delivers respectable fuel economy and maintains excellent street manners.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Speaking of excellent street manners, if you're serious about building a road-ready pro-tourer, the folks at Detroit Speed are exactly the kinds of friends you need to have. And, given the extravagant nature of this Camaro's build, a full suite of DSE's best parts was pretty much a given. Behind the rowdy engine, a Tremec T56 6-speed spins a carbon fiber driveshaft. That tube powers a proven Detroit Speed QUADRALink, which hangs a beefy sway bar and double-adjustable coil-overs around a tough Ford 9-inch axle. Opposite that QUADRALink, a hydroformed Detroit Speed front-clip makes good use of tubular control arms, two more double-adjustable coil-overs and power rack-and-pinion steering. At the corners of that suspension, color-keyed Baer 6-piston calipers clamp big drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust floats through massive, Mandrel-bent pipes, which employ aggressive Borla ProXS mufflers in front of custom, side-exit tips. Power meets the pavement via custom Vellano VKS wheels, which twist 2-tone centers and carbon fiber hoops around 265/30ZR20 Pirelli P Zeros and 355/25ZR21 Pirelli P Zeros. And the car's solid, undercoated floors are finished with high quality components like welded subframe connectors and requisite mini tubs.

INTERIOR

Pop the doors and you'll find a custom Connelly Tan interior that's heavily influenced by the fifth generation Camaro. Front and center, firm F5 buckets complement custom rear buckets with hides that are 1-part leather and 1-part suede. In front of those thrones, a leather-wrapped fifth generation Camaro dash seats carbon fiber trim around custom telemetry, touchscreen Pioneer audio and modern climate control. At the base of that dash, color-keyed leather flooring founds modern Chevrolet sills and "CAMARO" branded floor mats beneath billet foot pedals, a custom, full-length console and a small shifter. Opposite that console, leather-wrapped door panels frame requisite power windows in slick carbon fiber coves. Those bits are accented by a molded suede headliner, custom pillar covers and a custom package tray. In front of the driver, an F5 Camaro steering wheel spins a color-keyed leather rim and Charcoal spokes around a color-keyed horn pad and Charcoal bowtie. Behind the passengers, a small trunk mimics the aforementioned gauge design with an LED-lit bandpass that's complete with giant JL Audio subwoofers. And those woofers, which complement a whole roster of JL Audio ZR speakers, utilize CANBUS wiring and JL Audio amps to keep the tunes rockin'.
