STK 2575 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS If you love the sound of the big-block GM motor, this is your car. The last year of the Gen1 Chevelle was a great one. By 1967, the SS396 was no longer an option to the Chevelle line, but a model in and of itself. This beautiful Bolero Red North Carolina hardtop began life as just an ordinary SS396 (13817... VIN number), but has since been deliberately restored and definitely enhanced. The carefully built... 427ci 'Rat' sports aluminum heads, a dual-feed Holley, aluminum intake, MSD ignition, stainless full-tube headers and free-flow stainless custom exhaust. Engine cooling is managed by a heavy-duty radiator and six-blade flex fan. The cam has nice lift and duration, but is not radical. This Chevelle is very streetable - and sounds magnificent. The Turbo400 automatic transmission has been rebuild and upgraded with stronger components. It delivers power to a 12-bolt posi-traction differential that houses 3.73:1 gearing. Underneath, the chassis has been totally refreshed and is equipped power steering and an upgraded 4-wheel power disc package with dual master cylinder. Other features include heavy-duty drive shaft, custom trailing arm rear suspension w/ladder bars, front sway bar and new fuel tank. Traction is provided by period-correct red line radials mounted on beautiful 17" Cast Aluminum Rally Wheels with 'flat-style' center caps. The Bolero Red finish was applied in 2000 and, along with the original black vinyl top, is stunning. The factory black vinyl interior is in very good condition with features that include bucket seats, console w/clock, wood/alloy spoke wheel, tinted windows, tachometer positioned left of the steering column and an aftermarket AM/FM sound system. This Chevelle SS427 is truly a unique investment and belongs in your Bowtie garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
