Description

Hello, I'm selling this truck for my friend who does not have internet. I will be able to answer any of your questions you may have. To start off with, I only wish I could buy it for myself, because it is a Very Cool truck! It has Patina, Character, Rat Rod appeal. Car Show Hauling, Drag Racing, etc... I have been around this truck for a long time now and know it pretty well. Dependability is very good, it starts right up on the coldest days, but I would mention this is a piece of heavy equipment, and they do require more maintenance than a pick up truck. Features: 305 cubic in small block Chevy V8 with rebuilt 350 heads, Edlebrock carb, 4 speed transmission with 2 speed air shifted 2-1/2 ton rear end, Forward And Reverse PTO ( operates the hydraulic pump ),new alternator + 12 volt conversion through out, all lights working- including front fog lights, rear work/flood lights, cab clearance lights, flashing caution light, added turn signals ( did not have them in 1941 ), has Double tail lights in back( one set below bed, the other set up on the aluminum headache rack for maximum visibility and safety, new matching Dual batteries, Recently rebuilt (original) radiator with extra cores added, two 10 gallon fuel tanks, All gauges are working + Tachometer( no speedometer), rebuilt original heater/defroster ( probably works better than it did in 1941), CB radio and stereo in glove box ( CB needs antennae ) very comfortable Saturn bucket seats that fit the cab space very well ( very difficult to find seats to fit this cab) heavy duty Chrome brush guard, Hydraulics work very well + newer 12,000 lb. winch, rear tires were switched to 17 inch from 20 inch to lower carry height and of course making it easier to load/unload a car. The roll back bed is created from a Ford F350 frame, and is steel framed with oak board floor, the bed is 14-1/2 ft. long 7-1/2 ft. wide (sounds short, but it will haul any car or pick-up truck with ease, just not a Limo!) Somebody asked if the truck teeters or see-saws with a heavy car on it, the answer is No. The truck is well balanced, and handles a load very well. The Cab body on this truck was super straight and the few rust holes it had were welded up and nicely repaired. The cab corners are excellent, fenders- running boards are rust free and in great shape. There is a little Surface rust appearing at cab floor and door jam- this just needs sanded and painted when the truck is painted- a non-issue. The doors line up and close great, hinges are good. The roll out windshield works. The rear cab window cracked a couple days after installation, and can easily-and cheaply be replaced,. there is only one dent in the whole truck- on the driver side upper rear corner of the cab ( please check out the photo) This will also be an easy fix. This is one of the best bodies I have seen on a truck this age- minimal body work and paint will turn this truck into a Great looking vehicle! The interior can easily be done to the new owners taste at low expense, and I would keep the seats and just recover them(again- they fit the truck, and are very comfortable) This truck is in working condition, and can be driven anywhere ( at 65 to 70 miles an hour ) You can drive here in your car, and haul it home on this truck- no problem! Yes, it has a clear Colorado title as a 1941 truck. I am sure there are features I have missed, but the flaws have been covered as to the best of my knowledge. Since I do not own the truck, I can only state the facts as I have been informed of. The truck is being sold as is, with no warranty. This truck will require an open trailer to ship it, but from recent car freight experience, it should not be that expensive to just about anywhere from Colorado, since we are pretty centrally located. Freight and shipping arrangements are the buyers responsibility, although we can assist in loading only. A 500 dollar deposit through Pay-pal at time of sale/ auction end is required, and the balance in a cashier type bank check must be received within one week from date of sale in certified / registered type mail. Please message me with any questions you might have, and I will answer them as quickly as possible. The owner has decided to sell for basically half of what it cost to build it ! There are some pretty beat up, rusty bodies available that aren't even in running condition, for more than half what the owner is asking for this truck! Thank you for looking at this very uniqu, and cool truck!
