Up for sale is a 1962 Impala. It was painted about 20 years ago. Lettering was all hand painted at that time as well. Going for the old 409 nostalgia look. It has never been down a drag strip (not yet anyways). I bought the car about 3 years ago and have done the following and have receipts for most:
Wheels- Front 15x4, rear 15x8 SS Cragars, lugs. $1,124
Front tires- Towel City Skinny Front Runners. $220
Rear tires- M and H Race Master Street Slicks. $440
Front suspension- Upper and lower A-Arms, all sand blasted and painted. Front end totally rebuilt.
Rear end- Sand blasted and painted, Sadler built original, Eaton Posi, 373 gears, Yukon HD axles, bearings, etc. $1,454
Brakes- All new drum on rear, new discs on the front, and new master cylinder.
Transmission- 350 turbo built for 600 HP. Kevlar clutches, shift kit and a T.C.I. aluminum deep oil pan. $983
Drive shaft- Sadler built, balanced, billet center bearing and HD u-Joints. $500
Steering column- Totally rebuilt. $320
Seats- Frames all sand blasted and painted, new springs, and foam. SS seat cover kit from Classic Industries. $1,200. Paid $950 to have them upholstered.
New carpet - $170
New door seal plates and headliner installed. $480
New windshield - $300, $110 for shipping and $200 for installation.
Gauges – retro Stewart warner, oil, water, fuel, and volts.
Tach – retro $110
Battery relocation kit to trunk. $145
Rust preventative – Por15 2 cans $100
The body is in good shape. Trunk pan good, floor pans good, body mounts bad, all glass good. The only thing the interior needs is door panels and put back together. Unfortunately I have crazy money in this car and my loss is your gain. Don’t need to sell, don’t really want to sell, but life changes tells me I should probably sell. All she needs is a nice little engine and battery. If you want a real unique head turner driving around town or down the highway, this car is it!!
Asking $21,500/Offer. Please no low balls and I am not interested in any trades. Thanks for looking! Call Jeff @319-213-5811
