Description
1960 Chevrolet Biscayne
Let me start by saying that I know this is not an impala but eBay does not have Biscayne as an option. Now that we got that out of the way you are looking at what could be a badass car with just a little money and know how. You are looking at this listing so you hopefully know what you are looking at and the potential that this car has look at prices of cars that are “done” and you will see that this car is a true bargain, rare and getting next to impossible to find in any condition. This car has a solid body, great patina and endless potential.
If I were to build this car I would clean up the interior with a off the shelf reproduction kit add power disc brakes swap in a small block with a 4 speed leave the rest alone. Patina cars are super hot right now and there is no sign of that changing anytime in the foreseeable future.
As of the cars current state it runs, drives and stop. The engine is strong for an old I6 the 3 speed works but the linkage needs attention as do the brakes but let’s be real these are going to be the 1st things to go. The positives are that you have the clutch pedal in the car so you are ready for any combo that you want to put in the car. There is some rust that was listed in the condition description. I do have all of the trim for the fins and the bumpers are in great shape ( passenger side need re attached to the support). The 20” Ridler wheels on the car are new as are the tires.
I have owned a few of these cars and I know there is a ton of potential here. The upside value is definitely there and that value increases everyday. So why am I selling? Well I don’t have to, but this is a big car and barely fits in my poor tiny garage leaves me no room to get around it to give it the love/attention it needs. That and my neighbors can be quite the cry babies if I try to get to crazy out in the driveway. If I had more space I can promise the car would only be for sale when completed and asking would be 2-3x the bargain price that it is now.
A $250 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction ending and all sales are final and any money that is exchanged is nonrefundable. Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction ending and pick up or delivery is the responsibility of the buyer though I can help facilitate shipping at your expense. This is a great start to building your dream car so bid with confidence. You are more than welcome to come view the car in person and can contact me to set up an appointment, but I will not take a million more pictures. I feel that I have accuarately described the condition and there is nothing to hide.
