1964 Chevy Chevelle
Description
I purchased this from my Grandmother in the mid 70's. It had 37000 miles on it. Drove it for a while, sold it to my nephew he drove it for a while. He sold it back to me in 1999. It sat in doors in my shop collecting dust for about 11 years. I decided to resore it in 2010. It was originly a 194 cid six cyl, 2 speed automatic. There is 1500 miles on restoration.
I had a 327 with camel hump heads and a 350 Turbo Hydromatic 3 speed tranny and I convert it. The interior has been redone as well.
CHASSI: New rubber body bushings, "A" frame and differential bushings. Upper and lower ball joints, (steering links had been replaced prior). New springs front and rear, fuel lines. I wire wheeled the frame painted it with etching primer and gloss black chassi paint.
BODY: Floor pans are solid, I did have to replace the trunk pan. New front and rear bumpers, new weather striping and window felts through out (except the wing windows). New windshield, resealed rear window.
ENGINE: 1965 show contact info Stamped "T053HC" bored out .030 over, Small journal crank and rod bearings. Crankshaft has been machined .010. Rebuilt for unleaded gasoline Camel Hump heads #3782461 are 194's with 62cc chambers. Cam shaft is OLD SCHOOL solid lifters, 327/375hp was what was used in the 67 Corvette. Roller rockers,. This engine has a new Edelbrok Torker II intake with an Accell throtle body fuel injection. MSD high energy Distributor. Champion 3 core aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan.Hooker headers with 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust.
INTERIOR: New Head Linner, Uhpolstry (seat), Dash pad & Carpet. I repainted the dash and instrument cluster the original colors.
THINGS I DID NOT DO: Differential is original, original drum brake system and the power steering gear box is original. Everything works well.
