Description

1964 Chevy El Camino. This is the first year of the second generation of El Caminos. A mild So-Cal custom that has shaved handles (with wireless remotes), gas door delete and the majority of emblems removed. It is a frame-off that is painted in a custom gold that is a very heavy metallic. It's not metal-flake but somewhere between that and a standard metallic finish. The chrome and trim on this car is outstanding, and while not a trailer queen, it presents beautifully. Just about everything on this one is new.

This El Camino is rust free. Floors, chassis, smugglers box, all of it. If you follow these you'll know they sell in the low to mid-twenties in this condition. I have this one priced far below that because it needs a few things completed. It needs a headliner, and when I acquired the project, the prior owner had a drive shaft made - problem is it's about 2 inches too short. It has an imbalance at certain rpm ranges and really needs to be corrected. He also installed a P/S box from a Nova (I think). This hurts the turning radius - it still drives fine, but it should be replaced at some point with a Chevelle box.
