1985 Chevy K5 Blazer M1009 Military Truck CUCV -- LOCATED IN COLORADO
Description
I purchased this truck from Alfa Heaven Inc. in 2014. Alfa Heaven is a professional military contractor that restored the truck directly from military service. I am very meticulous with my vehicles and this one is no exception. Below I have disclosed everything that I know about the truck and everything that I have done to it over my time owning it so you know exactly what you are buying. The truck starts/runs and is used as my every day driver. This is a very solid example of the M1009 and the only reason I am selling it is because I need a pick up. I will consider a trade + cash for a 70’s-80’s Chevy K-Series 4X4 pickup truck in good condition. Here is everything that I have knowledge of about the truck: - I purchased the truck in 2014 with approximately 65k miles on it. The truck now has just over 100k and climbing as I still drive the truck as my daily driver (but I work from home) - Oil changes have been done every 3-5k miles using only Rotella Heavy Duty Diesel oil - I used the truck on paved and gravel roads only – NO serious off road use - New military CARC paint applied to military spec by Alfa Heaven, Inc. in 2014 - NO rust on body except two small areas on the rear gate. The truck has been garage kept since I have owned it - At 70K miles I had Wilwood duel piston calipers and slotted brakes installed up front and the rear drum brakes redone – this was done by a professional mechanic - $800 value new - At 78K miles I replaced the transmission pan seal and replaced 5.5 quarts of transmission fluid - New headlights, tail lights, parking lights and side markers - The following weather stripping has been replaced: drive/passenger doors, all rear gate/window seals (I sprayed the inside of the gate to prevent any rusting and rebuilt the window hardware), New cap seals installed along with LineX bed liner applied on the bed rails to protect from rust- $850+ value - Custom bumper by Off Road Ltd. In Colorado installed $2,200 value new - LineX bed liner professionally sprayed inside and on all outside panels that normally rust - $2,000 value - Undercarriage has been sprayed with a protective enamel by Alfa Heaven Inc. - Tuffy Box middle console with 2 keys and drink holders - $350 value new - Full stereo system - $500 value new - New starter relay installed to prevent starter runaway that tends to happen with the old style relays - Speedometer cable was replace with a new one at 70K - 33” Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tires and aftermarket wheels (including spare) - $1,500 value new - Military style seat covers in used condition (seat covers need replacement) - New radiator, radiator hoses and fluid at 94,500 miles - $500 value new - M1009 standard items that still remain: Black out lights (need cleaning and not sure if they work as do not have night vision to test them) and controls, gun racks, GM 1/2 ton axles Other items included with this sale: - Original bumper with D-rings and Pintle hook (bumper was scratched by installer of the new bumper) - OEM interior tire mount / OEM jack - Extra rebuilt 24V starter / Brand new set of glow plugs (not installed) - Spare new hoses and belts - 24V Power impact wrench that plugs into the front of the truck. This was so the military could remove a tire in the field Items NOT included: - 2 gas cans / 1 high lift jack / 2 locks / 1 security cable - Sub-woofer and amplifier NOT included but cables are in place for install of your own sub and amp Items wrong with the truck: - Small oil leak at the master seal – If you know these year trucks then you know they all have this leak - One small dent on driver side from some awesome person opening their door into it - Paint scratches on passenger side door from more awesome people opening their doors into it - Silver Oil on front quarter panel - Paint missing from rear window crank - Idle valve needs to be adjusted so the truck will stay at a high idle when it is first cold started – Currently you need hold the gas until it heats up a bit - The only gauge NOT working in the truck is the battery voltage gauge – This is very common on this trucks and is not really needed Shipping notes: - I am willing to work with you to coordinate a shipping/trucking company that you schedule. The buyer (you) are responsible for all shipping and handling costs. Payment: - Please call me to discuss other payment methods Contact info: 732-599-6989
