Here is a 1957 Chevrolet Belair coupe model 2402. I ran the numbers on the front of the block and the suffix code says it is a 1957 283 V8 and it has a 3 speed transmission in it. I think it is probably the original engine. I do imagine the 3 speed is the original too. But I seen the dash has automatic numbers on the dash. So the dash is probably not original. This car has a good state of Indiana title. Been sitting around for numerous years. I know it has been running within the last 5 years. I had the car fired up today for a few seconds on starting fluid. The starter I think is about shot. It is just clicking and cranking slow. I beat on the solenoid to get it to start the first time. I should have a used starter laying around that I can give you with the car. It has a newer HEI distributor in it. The original distributor is gone Car has a good patina look. This would make a good rat rod or ratty looking car. This probably would not be a good candidate for a top notch restoration. Every body panel somewhere you can find small rust holes, or bondo. I looked under the car and original floor pans are mostly gone, and someone has back yard rigged metal in. Trunk floor is rusted on the drivers side over the frame area, and some on the passenger side. Frame looks good. Car is solid for what it is. Car does not have any working brakes, it does not have brake pressure. Car rolls very easy. But the front tires don't hold air good. Drivers side front goes flat fast. Please check out the pictures real good and make sure this is exactly what you want before you bid or buy. I don't have time to waste with tire kickers or people to come and say I was wanting a show quality rust free car etc etc. This is sold as is, all sales are final. No warranty. I can help you load it on a trailer if need be. The drivers side rear back seat window is cracked up. I have a used one from another car that I just took out and have it layed in the back seat that goes with this car. I want a small $250. deposit within 24hrs of the end of the auction. And I want paid within full within 7 days of the end of the auction NO IFS AND OR BUTS ABOUT IT. You can pay me with cash, money order, cashiers check, or WU transfer. I will not release the car until I am 100% percent the funds have cleared are good. There are way to many scams out there and I am not taking a chance of getting a fake check or something. If you have any questions call or text 1-765-546-2642. Or if you would like to come and take a look you are more then welcome. If you are having it shipped that is all up to you. I can assist in getting to back of your shippers trailer. Last year it was plated was 2000.
