Description

Very original. Purchased from San Jose Police Department via auction. Car was cleaned and repaired as needed (it was a K9 car with a platform for a back seat. Actual rear seat is from a Dallas PD car was installed to replace the platform, and car deep cleaned completely in 2001), then used as daily driver in Dallas for several years, as well as for three cross country road trips. Car was in storage from 2005 when I left the country and intended to return in four years. It is being sold due to not returning to live in USA anytime soon, importation fees where I live now are too high, and storage facility is in process of being sold to widen the interstate highway. Car is a 5.7 350cid LT1. Very good and original condition for its age. I changed the battery and drove it out two months ago, and it did well. No apparent leaks or serious problems. List of known problems or defects: right rear door panel has cutout from auto open mechanism when it was in police use (see photo), trunk is missing decorative bow tie key cover since I purchased the car (see photo), A/C worked well when parked, but will need recharged with 134a, plastic hood release handle is missing, but the metal part that was inside the plastic works well to open the hood (see photo), rod from key switch to ignition is cracked, and if I have time, I will attempt to have that repaired before delivery. Tires are the same Goodyear GT II that it had from in service. Overall, very nice!!! A rare find. I would love to keep the car, but cannot. It needs a good home to someone that will appreciate what it is.
