Description

Chevrolet and their Suburban brand has been a staple of their lineup for decades and very few realized that this model was produced in the 50's as well on a 3100 ½ ton truck platform. Designed and marketed for the larger families that need room for gear and seating for 8 or however many you wanted to cram into the 3 rows of seats. We are so excited to offer this amazing '52 Chevrolet Suburban that was completely restored to... factory specs and a pain staking process that took over 5yrs to complete and 99% of the parts were NOS found all over the country to retain its authenticity and to be judged at the highest standards. This car was acquired by the previous owner over 34yrs ago and immediately was stripped and dissembled for its long and thorough restoration. Vehicle is near flawless on all levels from inside, outside and underneath. Even the engine bay is in a spotless detail state along with mechanically. It fires up with ease, engages into gear very nicely and runs at 55mph without hesitation. The car was judged by the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America three different times and invited to the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Hersey Fall Meet which is a great honor. In 1991 the car scored 986 points out of 1000 and winning "Commercial Best of Show" award. In 2009 it received a score of 991 out of 1000 and then in 2013 was scored with 989 points and receiving the "Preservation Award" If you are aware of the judging at these events you then realize how meticulous these judges are and deducting points for a wrong bolt or a stain on the engine fuel line. They expect the car to be in the condition as when it left the factory if not nicer, so the dedication to detail and overall condition is very impressive with this vehicle. The car has over the past 25+ years been enjoyed at local car shows, short drives to dinner and wiped with a diaper in the heated garage. This car is a work of art and will be appreciated by all and only will continue to appreciate as these are almost extinct in this type of condition. Vehicle is highlighted with the grey pinstripe, chestnut interior with brown trim, running boards, rubber front floor mat, AM radio, 216 inline 6cyl with 91HP and chrome that looks new. Vehicle comes with judging sheets, pictures during restoration, owner's manual and shop manual.
