Description

An iconic 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle in a correct and unique color combo, with a performance-built big block under the hood. Need we say more? If you're looking for a brutally fast piece of American muscle that's both nicely finished and within budget, then this SS should be the end of your search. Sure, a brilliant respray of the factory-correct Mohave Gold gets a lot of the credit, but even up close it lives up to the promises... made by the first impression. Bodywork is excellent all around, with great gaps and a lot of attention paid to getting those iconic black SS stripes painted on correctly. Then there's the cowl induction hood, blacked out grille, and all that correct SS badging. It's built before new bumper laws so those big chrome kings fit much snugger to the body, and the rear one still houses the taillights in a very cool way. And of course it won't be a correct SS without boldly resting on the proper wheels. One look inside, and you get more reminders of why this car is a cut-above. The seats and carpeting look like they've been replaced recently, so this one looks fresh from '72. Black buckets flanking a center console make this Chevelle a lot more desirable than most of its bench seat siblings. It leaves room for the iconic horseshoe shifter that makes this coupe really feel like a Super Sport should. It has all the right features for the driver, including the three-spoke sports steering wheel, and the proper round gage dash that has a tach, and working clock. There's comfort features like the heat/defrost and a newer AM/FM digital tuner that fits in the original knob-style radio opening. It even has an auxiliary input to play modern tunes, but we already know what your favorite soundtrack will be. It's irresistible just roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and listen to the rumble of the dual exhaust. You could still get a big block from the factory in 1972, but nothing that ran like this one. A proper orange block 454 cubic-inch V8 was stuffed between the fenders and given plenty of performance upgrades. This includes an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and long tube headers. A snarky dual exhaust system gives the big block a baritone rumble. Plus, with a TH400 three-speed automatic and a 12-bolt rear end, you know you can reliably back up this Chevelle's bark with serious bite. But when it comes to just being a nice cruiser, this one has it well in hand, too. Features like the power steering, front disc brakes, and modern BF Goodrich rubber at each corner make this a nice anytime ride. This Chevelle does a lot of things right, and looks great doing them. It even comes with the owner's manual to show off at the car shows. So you know you've got a cared-for coupe that can still scare the lesser cars on a Saturday night. Call today!!
