1972 Chevrolet Corvette 454 Convertible 4 speed Bryar Blue
Description
Here's your chance to own a very rare, matching numbers, Big Block, Bryar Blue (one year color) two owner car. The first owner kept car till 2014.
Options are LS5 454 engine, M21 4 speed transmission, power steering, power brakes, convertible.
In 1972 there were 27004 corvettes built, of those only 6508 were convertibles. LS5 option only 3913. M21 option only 1638. Code 945 Bryar Blue only 1617.
This car has 68000 miles, it runs, shifts, and stops as it should but does need restoration. The car shows no sign of ever being wrecked, all lines are great. There is only light scale rust on frame, birdcage appears solid. Paint is very weak, top needs replacing, as well as carpet and weather stripping. Tires are in good shape, brake calipers, and lines were replaced a couple of years ago.
I do have a copy of the original owners title.
The 1972 Chevrolet Corvette was changed very little from the previous years, mostly this was the last year for some major things. '72 was the last year for chrome front bumpers, side bright "egg crate" grills, and the removable rear window. It was also the last year for performance options RPO LT1 and RPO ZR1. Although both codes would be brought back in the '90s, one as an engine model and the other as the "King of the Hill". The M22 "Rock Crusher" transmission was not available this year. Unfortunately due to emissions and octane requirements horsepower was down this year but not by as much as the specs show. This was the year that horsepower specs were changed from gross horsepower to net horsepower. Before 1972 horsepower was measured on a blueprinted engine without any accessories such as the alternator, A/C, pb etc.. In 1972 the engines were rated with all accessories and the exhaust system which caused the horsepower of the same engine to be rated substantially lower..;
