For your cosideration.
Gorgeous 1967 Camaro SS 396 Tribute, done in a Pro-Touring style.
A massive amount of time and money has gone into the build of this car.
We started off with a rust free and all original GM steel body. It is wearing its original color, Bolero Red.
The car started life as a 327 2 speed powerglide car.
The car has undergone a complete overhaul, lets start with listing whats been done.
Engine:
396 4 bolt main block was built using its original steel crank that was polished and balanced. The rods are factory GM steel rods fitted with Pioneer rod bolts and resized to spec. The pistons are TRW forged 10.5:1 pop ups. The entire rotating assembly was balanced for a long life, The cam is a Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller unit. The roller lifters are also from Comp Cams as are the Magnum pushrods. The roller rockers are Harland Sharp. The heads are factory GM 781 castings that have had extensive port work done to compliment the camshaft. The intake is an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap. The carburetor is a Barry Grant Gold Claw 750 with 4 corner idle and removable venturies. Entire fuel system is built with Russell #6 braided stainless lines and fittings. Ignition is handled by MSD with their pro billet distributor and MSD Digital 6 plus ignition amplifier. Spark plug wires are from Taylor. Polished ARP fasteners were used throughout this engine.
This engine makes roughly 550 reliable HP.
Transmission:
GM Turbo 350 with fresh performance rebuild. Heavy duty clutches and bands were used along with a Transdapt shift kit. The torq converter is a Coan 4000 stall unit. Cooler lines are #6 stainless braided Russell with black Russell #6 hose ends. A GM transmission cooler sits up front.
Rear Differential:
12 bolt Chevy, rebuilt with brand new clutches, bearing and seals. Gear ratio is a street friendly 3:55. Clip eliminator has also been installed for insurance.
Brakes:
Wilwood 12.9" drilled and slotted rotors used on all 4 corners. Front calipers are Wilwood 6 piston units in powdercoated red. Rear calipers are Wilwood 4 piston unit in powercoated red.
Brake lines are all brand new CNC bent sourced from Inline Tube. Exact replicas of the originals right down to the proper plating on the nuts.
Suspension:
Front tubular upper and lower control arms were used with polyurethane bushings for a positive feel, KYB shock were used up front as well. The original rear leaf springs were reconditioned with polyurethane bushings and a 2" polished aluminum lowering block was used to acheive desired ride height. Old school track bars were added and they work!
Exhaust:
FLOWMASTERS! 3" mandrel bent flowmaster American thunder kit was used. Entire system was welded, not clamped. We used cokle tor flanges on the muffler to tail pipe joint for ease of dissasembly later on. Headers are Hooker Hustler 2" primary tube to 3" collector units that have been aluma coated. They will look new forever! They will never rust and the coating lowers engine bay temps drasticly.
Underside:
This has got to be the cleanest 1967 underside around! Look at the pictures. It is wearing all of its original panels that it rolled off the assembly line with, There are no patches, welds or krinkles on this car. All pinch welds are tight and straight, No surprises. You will have a hard time finding a body like this! There have never been any noticeable accidents in its 52 years of life.
Wheels:
Classic American Racing Torq Thrust 2's
17X8 Front - 19X9.5 Rear
Front Frame And Inner Sheet Metal:
Front subframe sand blasted and Powder coated in gloss black
Front inner fenders and rad support have been sandblasted and powder coated in a GM chassis black.
Paint:
Gorgeous! The original Bolero Red paint has been block sanded and polished to a glass like finish. The paint does have some small imperfections here and there but nothing noticeable from a few feet away.
Trunk:
Finished in a truck spatter, ultra clean with no signs of any water or rust, EVER!
Interior:
Original Black Standard interior in great shape. It has been replaced some years ago with a quality re upholstering kit. Headliner is mint, has console and gauges with tach (all operational) A new windshield was installed also. The stereo system is great! its a new Restrosound Hermosa unit with Bluetooth and USB input for all of your music. You can connect to your phone for hands free phone calls and music. It looks like an original GM unit that would have came with the car from the factory. In the trunk is an Infinity 100 watt per channel amplifier and Alpine 6X9's. The stereo sounds great to say the least.
I'm sure I'm missing some stuff but all in all you get the idea. This is a no bullshit car. You will have a hard time finding a car in this condition and built to this caliber for this kind of money. This car would cost 90k plus to build. No expense was spared. I built this car for myself and built it with reliability being priority number one. The car has won multiple awards, it looks and sounds the part. Nothing looks out of place under the hood. Everything has been tastefully done. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere at anytime. 550 HP on pump gas and it handles like its on rails!
For buyers in the USA, right now the exchange rate is crazy! your money is worth a lot more than ours (Canadian). With that being said, here' s your chance to buy a killer Camaro for a lot less than what you would pay on your side of the border for the same caliber of car.
I will help with logistics to get it to where its going but all costs associated with shipping and customs etc, will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
I require an immediate NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 2000.00 and the balance is due upon pickup of the vehicle. Cash or certified check is fine. I will not release the vehicle until the funds have cleared at the bank.
Due to the nature of antique and classic automobiles, there is no warranty expressed or implied. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS
I have a bunch of other photos and a video walk around of the vehicle running I have posted to my Instagram page along with alot of the build process. Scroll through my entire page to see most of the process.
