1986 Chevrolet K20 Silverado California truck.
Description
1986 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4x4
Selling my truck, it actually frustrates me to sell it,so here is your opportunityto own a good truck. I will try my best to describe it. Well maintained truck. Never sat or stored for years, The fluids kept moving and the seals/gaskets never dried. It was not a daily but maybe driven when a truck was needed. Registered in California its entire life. Built in Fremont California, spent majorityof its life in this area. 121,xxx miles 1986 K20. 350 5.7 engine, TH400 automatic transmission, There is nothing wrong with it other then it being 33 years old and not brand new. No rust at al, I did wipe down a section of the frame/body mount to show the condition of the chassis, soapy water with road grime decreaseand a wet rag and it cleaned up well. Thats the original chassis paint. Has not been sprayed(have a photo somewhere down here in this add) . This is not one of those high price reserve trucks. Honest truck for a honest price. In the photos it is dusty and has water spots, has room for improvement to shine up.. This is a low option truck. No AC, manual windows. Has the smaller sport style mirrors that i think are cool and very rare on 3/4 ton trucks. No badges or trim therefore no holes in the sheet metal also rare. Has a simple look to it. I get asked if its a Ex-Military truck and it might be but im not 100% sure. Cool color, sometimes it looks blue, greenish or black. Paint is old and has scratches, starting to fade "patina" . Driver side fender has damage but i will provide a good original fender with it. All original except for the tail lights and headlights bezel trims. I will supply the original tail lights and bezel trims. Replaced the bezels because 1 side had a crack, the other side has nothing wrong with it. The tailgate sometimes can bestubborn. Passenger side lock hinge needs to be adjusted to open/close smoother. Never had a trailer hitch so it never pulled a trailer and worked hard. Drives nice and tight. Not a sloppy rattle trap. Cruises comfortablely at 65mph with the 4.10 gears. All of the gauges work accurately. Dual tanks and both tanks work good, selector valve works good. The interioris decently nice, Seat foam on drivers side is worn but comfortable, starting to feel like a bucket seat. Radio does not work. I just use a blue tooth wireless speaker. Driver side door chrome trim under the panel fell off but i have it, it will be behind the seat. Head liner is starting to sag but i do have a brand new one in box that you can install or maybe if i get the time ill install it. The smog equipment has been removed, less clutter under the hood. Heater hoses were by passed because i dont use the heater here in California. Roll the windows down for Air conditioning . Low pressure power steering line has a very slow leak. never got around to replacing the hose, maybe add some fluid once a month when the pump starts to whine. The transfer case drips about a .25cent quarter size spot over night if you park up hill, park down hill and it wont leak.. I keep a small bag of tools behind the seat like any old truck needs just for emergency situations along with spare fluids. Truck never left me stranded. one time the alternator belt ripped and another time the carburetor gave me a issue but i drove it home to find out it was a broken vacuumline. The engine is perfectly sound. This is not the original engine, its a goodwrench crate motor with about 50k-60k miles on it, its not new but newer.I believei covered the majorityof this truck but im sure im forgetting something. Good California Title in hand. Im going to let the pictures do the talking now. Scroll down, have about 100 of them, Im going to make a walk around video and can send it to you. or maybe i will post it in a few days at the bottom of this listing.
I read the posting and noticed i mentioned all of the small issues with it but over all theres more positive things to say about it such as, good glass not cracked or chipped, good weather stripping. doors and locks open smooth and crisp. No need slam the doors, steering is great, no shakes or wondering all over the road, truck stays in its own lane. Has good road manners, brakes stop true and straight etc...
I do have a reserve but not releasingit, going to let the auction run its course but feel free to call me with your offers and other questions.

Would i fly in and drive this truck across the country 2500 miles? No probably not, this truck isn't built for cross country trips with the 4.10 gear ratio and you will probably spend more money on fuel and travel expenses then actual shipping cost.I can help set up shipping but i rather have you take care of the transportation.Shipping rates are reasonable, I received a few quotes. Average $650 to Utah Idaho, $1200 to the midwest and $1400-1700 to east coast.Thank you for reading my add and give me a call with your offer and if you have any questions (660)221-5748.
Only thing i will consider bartering for is for a brand new 2019-2020 brand new 36 foot or longer goosneck trailer with a steel deck. Selling this truck to put an order on a trailer for my needs. If your a trailer dealer guy give me a call and maybe we can make do something. Will also entertain offers for a 1970-1975 Chevrolet camaro or firebird that goes fast.
