Description

The item up for sale is a 1971 Corvette with an LT-1 350 (1 of only 1,949 produced in 71). It has all the original, correct parts on it. It has the original LT-1 350, M21 Muncie 4spd (1 of 2,387 produced in 71), rear-end with original, optional 4:11 gears, Aluminum intake manifold, Holley carburetor, distributor with transistorized ignition and open-faced alternator. The interior has been redone. It has new windshield interior trim, sun-visors and hardware, inside rear-view mirror, seat-covers and foam (seat frames were also sandblasted and painted before reassembly not just thrown together), door panels, carpet, seat belts, rear compartment doors (and all associated parts), park brake console plus other parts. The black paint in the interior has been all painstakingly refinished around the speedometer, the tach, the center gauges and on the all the console trim.

This car has been in my family since the early to mid 80s. I'm not sure of the exact date my Dad bought it. It has been put in my Mom's name due to the fact my Dad had Altzheimer's disease and has since passed away so I don't know exactly when he bought it. It was originally Brands Hatch green but some one painted it back in the 70s a little different green. The paint is not in the greatest of condition.
As said earlier in the ad, the interior has been redone. The pictures don't do it justice. The interior looks very nice in person. The engine has had some work done to it, also. The alternator was rebuilt. It has new plugs, plug wires, a new water pump, new radiator hoses with GM markings, new heater hoses with GM markings, new correct style hose clamps, new belts with GM part #s on them and a new original style air cleaner.
There are other items that were replaced such as the tires, the trim rings on the wheels, and the exhaust tips. The exhaust tips are the correct style made with stainless steel. The headers were removed, sandblasted and coated with a ceramic coating and re-installed with copper gaskets.
