You are viewing for sale a premier Resto Rod of an original and still numbers matching SS 396 Chevelle. The numbers were verified by a member of the Chevelle club.A private owner professionally completed the car in 2015 and has only logged 1,930 miles on it, attending local car shows and cruising events.

This Chevelle was built in the Kansas City, MO plant and spent its initial time in Colorado.In 2012 current owner purchased the complete car and started the project.

EVERY item on the car was either replaced with new, custom made, or NOS parts.Nothing was left untouched.

The paint is a 2-stage urethane Copperhead Pearl and there are no flaws, chips, dents, scratches, or runs.It is truly a color that enhances the body lines of this 68 SS.All the sheet metal (floor pans, trunk pans, doors, roof, hood and trunk) on this car is original. Only body parts replaced or repaired were the right front fender, and the lower section of the left rear quarter, which had a new panel welded in place.

Owner is selling to reduce his collection.

Engine was totally rebuilt with:

Block hot tanked and bored .030" over, 10:1 Compression ratio, no decking so serial number is still visible.

Stock rods shot peaned & magnafluxed

Stock crank

Original heads were ported, added SS valves, bronze guides, and oversize springs

Complete Comp Cams Xtreme Hydraulic roller kit including rockers, lifters, and cam (advertised 274/286 lift; 230/236@50; 552/555 lift)

Melling High pressure oil pump

Custom valve covers

Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, media blasted and cleared w/urethane

Holley 750 Double Pumper w/electronic choke

High pressure manual fuel pump w/adjustable regulator

Aeromotive fuel rail

Ceramic coated long tube headers

Flowmaster 40 series exhaust pipe and muffler system (2 ½”)

New 3-core aluminum radiator

MSD Digital 6 AL control w/ Chevrolet electronic distributor

Stock Chevelle with all new, coil over springs, shocks, urethane bushings, brakes (non-power), brake lines, & hardware.

Rebuilt power steering assembly

Rebuilt 12-bolt (open) w/3.31:1 gears

Wheels: U.S. Mags/Torque Thrust w/ custom centers

Front: 18 x 8; tires are Aurora 245 x 40 x R18

Rear: 18 x 9; tires are Aurora 275 x 40 x R18

Interior

Seats were totally rebuilt and recovered with new foam and material

New headliner, door panels, dash pad

Autometer gauges:Water temp, Oil pressure, Volts, and programable Tachometer

Reconditioned factory gauges with re-calibration of speedometer which is accurate within 2 mph.

Clock does not work

New carpeting with Dyna Matting on the floors and headliner

In dash AM/FM/Cassette player w/ dual speakers
