Some cars are just unmistakably cool from every angle. One glance at this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Baldwin-Motion tribute and you know there have been some serious investments in upgrades. The iconic paint package, performance L88 big block, and so much more is fresh from an expert restoration. So this is coupe that was built to turn heads and eat the asphalt. Baldwin-Motion is mentioned in the same breath as Yenko or Nickey in the Chevrolet communities. This hallowed... performance car name only produced a handful of originals, and so this is the right middle ground. The price is a fraction of an original, and it was built by BTP Total Performance and Gene Schmidt (a renowned performance Camaro and Yenko restorer.) There's barely 3,000 miles on this coupe since completion, so it looks exceptionally crisp. And it really gets the details right - everywhere from the Baldwin Chevrolet tag on the rear spoiler to the special L88 Corvette stinger hood that was custom integrated. This is true performance machine, and the legendary bold Hugger Orange Camaro warns others on the streets "Don't mess with me!" Plus, there's a well-coordinated dark side. The black pieces are a terrific contrast to the orange while offering plenty of attitude on the vinyl roof, front spoiler, blacked-out front w/RS hidden headlights, full hockey stick stripe package, blacked-out rear panel, and stripe accenting the special hood. The whole package looks authentic and outstanding - right down to the competition-style torque thrust wheels with B-M center caps and redline tires. If you were to put together a greatest hits list for the first-generation Camaro interior, this one would have all the right tunes. After all, houndstooth seats are an icon all on their own, and this looks fresh and correct all the way to the button-top presentation. Plus, you also get the center console with the quad auxiliary gauge package... and you'll notice these are upgraded Stewart Warner units - the same goes for the large speedo and tach. The restoration investment here really meant getting the details right, so you get plenty of the premium wood-like trim and even the AM radio is still cranking out tunes! The trunk continues the time capsule look, right down to the spacesaver spare tire. But more than just look great, this one gives you the ideal tingle of performance. You'll slip behind the classic Chevy three-spoke sports steering wheel, and your right hand is instantly attracted to the special Hurst His-n- Hers dual-gate shifter. Because these B-M Camaros were all about the monster motor, you'll love showing off the engine bay. It has the great classic look with the screen air topper and proper Motion polished valve covers. This is a proper L88 427 cubic-inch big block that has been enhanced with bored .04 over and solid lifter cam. This V8 inhales deeply with a large Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock performance intake. It exhales with the growl of performance thanks to headers feeding the rumbling dual exhaust. And when you really want to bring the thunder, the cutouts give this the kind of sound that will make you feared. The strong TH400 three-speed automatic transmission has line lock to really take full advantage of the monster motor and Hurst shifter. The undercarriage photos will remind you how fresh this whole build is. Plus, you'll spot great pieces, like the traction bars in the rear. Add in power steering and front disc brakes, and this is one impressive total package. Your heart will skip a beat every time the ferocious exhaust fires up in your garage. This Camaro is exceptionally clean and exceptionally mean, and a worthy Baldwin-Motion tribute. So if you want to be memorable everywhere you go, call today!
