1964 Impala For Sale NON SS
Please read the entire ad before asking questions. I'm adding everything I know about the car in this ad.
Serious buyers should feel free to ask any questions through the Ebay message system
Factory 327, 300HP, double hump heads, very good running engine with great power
You can floor it up through all 4 gears with no hesitation, or loss of power
New Carter 4 barrel carb, original Carter 4 barrel and air cleaner will be included with the car
Factory Muncie 4 speed floor shift with factory shifter, boot needs replaced, I will include a new boot and trim piece with the sale
Original rear end, Non Positraction. Not sure of the ratio
The original factory rims will be included with the sale, sorry, no hub caps.
Car has power steering, power brakes, and power top.
Brakes are good, car stops well
I have included photos of the VIN plate and the Cowl ta, these show the car is a factory matching # V8, as shown on the block# (see photo) that matches the VIN#, also the accessory codes (2L+3C) shows it came with the M20 Muncie trans and a padded dash
Also shows the original color as Tuxedo Black (paint code 900), with a white top, and the car being manufactured in Tarrytown NY (code T)

Overall the car is in very nice condition, runs great, very good power, freshly tuned with all new tune-up parts
Points, plugs, wires, cap and condenser
New coil springs all around.
New rear Munroe air shocks
New front end links
The 327 engine runs like a top, with NO smoke, or other problems at all. The trans shifts just like it should, no problems at all.
The clutch was replaced, along with a new pressure plate, and throw out bearing, works great Rear diff is non posi, but I'm not sure about the ratio.
Good brakes, steers nicely, runs straight down the road
New gas tank installed
Cragar mag wheels with Michelin tire in very good shape, rims have some minor rust, not too bad at all
The original interior is in VERY nice condition, NO tears, rips, snags, with one small hole noticed at the rear bottom of the passenger side seat. (shown in the video)
The carpet appears to have been replaced.
Dash has the original factory tachometer, that works great
Original radio is disconnected, with an aftermarket CD/radio combo installed, works good.
Everything on the dash works just fine, all the gauges, lights, speedo, tachometer are in good working order
The padded dash has one crack above the glove box, and one small star above the cluster.
A brand new $500 dash pad will be included with the sale, from Classic industries, a VERY nice piece, and a good color match to the original pad.
This car has no visible rust, the trunk, floor pans, floor supports, inner and outer rockers are all in nice condition.
The underside was rustproofed years ago, and not a heavy coating that hides things.
The trunk is in super nice shape, only a small area on the upper trunk panel has some minor surface rust, NO rust through anywhere.
I looked under those damn trunk mats they use, and trapped moisture caused some surface rust under the mats, it’s only surface rust.
The top is in very nice condition, almost as new, works perfectly
All the glass is in very nice condition as well, no scratches, scrapes, cracks, chips or gouges anywhere.
The side window frames are also in nice condition, the windows close like they should
All of the stainless moldings on the car are in very nice condition.
The rest of the trim on the car is also very nice, with the exception of one very small dented area (shown) on the passengers side lower rear quarter trim.
The chrome on the car is also nice, with the exception of the center piece in the rear bumper which has a few scratches in it.
The doors shut good, no sagging or anything like that
I have the original keys, that work in all the locks, doors, trunk and ignition, also some extra keys will be included
The paint is an older respray, and has held up very well over the years, has a nice shine to it
There are a few imperfections in the paint as can be expected for a 55 yr old car.
Two very small areas on the hood where the paint has bubbled up a bit.
You can expect some minor wear and tear as it is a 55 yr old car.
Plain Jane bench seat Impala's are pretty rare with the 4 speed Muncie floor shift. Yes, this is a factory option back in 64.
Here's a list of what I know about the car, pros and cons. Pro's LOW mileage survivor car (40,800 miles)with one older repaint.
I cannot state that this is the true mileage, I have no documentation to back it up, but the condition of the car does seems right to this mileage Runs and drives GREAT Mostly original except for wheels, tires, exhaust+paint
I believe the mufflers are magnaflow, the exhaust is all in good condition, has a good tone to it, but not too loud Original 327, and 4 speed factory Muncie M20 Trim tag confirms M20 factory trans Original interior in beautiful condition Original chrome and trim in good shape Excellent driver car AS it IS 327 (300HP) purrs like a kitten Four barrel Carter carb 4 speed Muncie shifts good Original AM radio, not sure if it works Excellent floors, VERY solid All good solid floor supports Nice body gaps, doors shut with one finger, no sag Easy to work on, parts are readily available Drives nice and straight down the hwy Good power from the 327 NO smoke, always starts right up Exhaust replaced from factory manifolds back with Magnaflow mufflers Front and rear springs replaced Rear shocks replaced with new set of Munroe air shocks. I will include a new set of regular shocks in case you don’t like air shocks good original radiator Hood and trunk are nice and straight, as are the fender and quarters Power top works as it should Very solid rockers in and out Factory top boot included Factory rims will be included Electrical all in good condition, everything works except for the clock. All stainless in nice condition All trim is very decent All gauges work as they should Heater core does not leak, all the heat and defrost functions work as they should. All the glass is in very nice condition, all the windows roll up and down as they should There are no scrapes or damage to any of the glass at all The ONLY reason I am selling is that I have run out of room to keep all my cars, as I have other collectable cars as well Needs A couple of side trim and trunk trim pieces have very small dings (shown in the photos) A couple of very small spots on the hood where the paint has bubbled a little bit, but they are small areas. (shown in photos) Frame has surface rust only, but no rust through anywhere. Floors, floor supports, body mounts are all good.

The new clutch works great, but it’s a little stiff, I think the Zbar needs greasing Car needs a good cleaning, as it has been stored for a few years.
The plastic rear window has some yellowing to it, it could be easily replaced by a good trim shop
The front end squeaks a bit, probably the control arm bushings that need to be lubed or possibly replaced
The gas pedal is missing I do take it out every year, and make sure all is good. This is a great driving vehicle, good power with the 300HP 327. Drives nice and straight down the road, a really pleasure to drive as it is.
