Description

1966 Impala. Rebuilt numbers matching factory high-perf 283 with 4bbl and dual exhaust less than 5000 miles. Powerglide auto. Drum brakes all around. Does have power steering. Runs and drives nice. Pretty much all original car except for wheels which are 15x7 Tru Classics and new tires with less than 1000 on them. I do have the stock wheels with new tires and spare with hubcaps that came with it. Will sell without wire wheels for 1000 less. New Cars Inc. seat cover up front, also have rear but never installed because the original rear isnt bad. Upgraded steering wheel, and Caprice tail lights. Doors shut nicely and solid, all windows work, heat works, gauges work, lights, horn, wipers and washer pump works. Nos door edge and bumper guards installed. Windshield has a crack but doesnt bother me plus it has the 1978 inspection sticker and VA employee parking sticker on it so I wanted to preserve that history. I have all the original parts that came off car. North Carolina car all its life. Bought new by WW2 veteran at Rainey Chevrolet in Salisbury then sold to another fellow in 1974, 2nd owner drove it till 1978 and parked it in his barn and it sat for 38 years till 2016. 3rd owner pulled it from barn and performed the mechanical work and then I bought it and did the cosmetic part. Odometer states 40k+ but not sure if its turned or not. Car had one repaint in the 1970s. All original metal, no rot, floors and trunk are solid, little surface rust spots and dents here or there to be expected. New trunk and roof rail weatherstrip. Nice, solid, original, well preserved automobile. I hate to sell it but I aquired another project.
