Description

Stunning old school custom was just professionally built by an old school guy known for doing incredible work. The stance, colors and custom touches make this a a crowd pleaser. It drives and functions as good as it looks too. EXTERIOR: Incredible custom mixed color. It is yellow pearl with light yellow candy fades, topped with gold ice pearl and 6 coats of clear. You need to see it in person. Has mild custom, hand crafted body work using metal.... Well, the tail end isn't exactly mild. It is reconstructed in with 56 Chevy taillights. Rockers are ribbed with steel bar, hood is slightly extended and it has frenched antennae on the 1/4 panel. All the aluminum moldings and headlight bezels were chromed. Show chromed bumpers. New green tinted glass, window frames were chromed. Has custom made grill. The stance is great. I love the old school chrome wheels with chrome lugs and cone centers. Rides on reproduction Silvertown whitewalls. The builder says this color can be blended if needed someday. It's a knockout! INTERIOR: Completely restored from carpet to headliner. Dash is painted to match exterior. Has custom hand made knobs. All the interior chrome was replated. There is a console between the bucket seats. Has new Hurst linkage with original 62 shift handle. The upholstery, door panels, headliner, carpet were all replaced. Custom white pleated kick panels, rear deck and floormats. Has a 59 Impala steering wheel. A gauge cluster is neatly installed under the dash. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a rebuilt 327 motor with polished intake, new Edelbrock 650 carb with electric choke. The motor is dressed up with gold metallic paint, highly polished finned valve covers and plenty of chrome. Features include a chromed dual reservoir master cylinder and power steering. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been boxed and carpeted. Includes a vintage cooler custom painted to match the car. Bottom of trunk lid and jamb are painted slick, new weatherstrip. Has white pleated inserts on the bottom of the trunk lid. There are storage compartments under and behind the panels. UNDERSIDE: Has tubular upper and lower control arms in front. New springs and shocks. Suspension was lowered 3 inches. Rebuilt Muncie 4-speed trans, new clutch. New brakes. The dual exhaust follows the frame and of course has glass pack mufflers. Really solid, clean frame and floors. In the first few days we've had this car, it has had great response. People love it. The builder has a real talent and it shows in this car. In many ways the modifications are subtle but yet the car is outstanding. The next owner will feel very proud showing this one off! I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking.
