1968 Chevy Camaro RS convertible

Description

I have for sale a 1968 Chevrolet Convertible RS Convertible. The car has been in my family since the late 1980's. The car was parked in a garage in late 88, or 89 and then in 2013 the car was gone over and put on the road by my cousin. The car then sat again until 2017 when i got the car. I have gone through the car and rebuilt the 4 corner drum brakes, rebuilt the carb and put a modern distributor in it. Car had a brand new top put on it this summer, and is being re listed from a previous bidder that did not contact me after auction. Please bid to win, and save the fake bids. I am a serious seller that wants this car to go to a good home. I believeit to be 3 owners (including me and my cousin).
Body: it appears that it had quarters put on it and was resprayed the original red. The floor pan had a small patch put in the rear passenger foot well. The car was inspected on a lift and found the frame rails rockers floor all to be in good condition. The car shows well and looks good from 5 feet. The car is NOT perfect and has imperfections that I tried to show in pictures; but is a great driver that gets compliments all the time.The rockers floors frame rails etc are all very solid.

Convertible top: The power top works as it should and is extremely nice.
Interior: The interior shows very very nicely with original seats, a stock horseshoe center console mounted shifter and stock gauges. The car had a radio installed in the 1980's, but the dash is NOT cut, and it does work so I left it in. The speakers in the pictures are just set there so the radio could be heard, they can be lifted out at any time. It has no weird smells or stains and gets compliments all the time for being so nice and original.
Motor and Trans: The original 327 is still in the engine bay, it is backed by a turbo 350, I have the original powerglide that comes with the car. The 327 has a Edelbrock carb on it and a 4 barrel intake. the original intake and valve covers are included in the sale. The car runs very well and is driven regularly. The car does leak small amounts of fluid if let sit over a long period of time, nothing unusual for a 50 year old car. I believe it to need new hoses. Motor looks clean and nice.
Steering: Car drives straight down the road and I have taken it on long trips.
Car is an original RS car, and the headlight doors work great. I have a clear clean IL title in my name.
I am trying to be very open and honest regarding the car, it is a nice car that gets a lotof attention. Please bid to win, and be advised that no feedback bids will be removed. I would like the car to be picked up within 10 days of the end of auction, and will work with the buyer. Cash or Cashiers check for payment. For a cashiers check I would like to go with to your bank/meet at your bank to get the check with you, or will wait till the check clears to release car. (had trouble in the past)
