1972 CORVETTE LS5 ROADSTER 4SPEED
Hidden in garage for 33 years 210-548-1310
This is an original surviving 1972 Corvette LS5 Roadster. I personally uncovered it in a garage six months ago where it had been lost in time since 1986.
By my research, out of about 30,000 Vette's built in 1972, less than 1500 were ordered like this car.
It was ordered by Ernesto Ancira, of Ancira Chevrolet San Antonio Texas and was his personal car for a few years.
Ordered with a factory 454 Big Block, 4 speed Transmission, Roadster Convertible and with RARE factory Air Conditioning!!!
The engine is matching numbers original. (Confirmed). I drive the car every few days. We believe 81,000 miles is original to the car. I had the original carburetor rebuilt, flushed the fuel system, brakes were rebuilt. New wheels and tires. Kept the originals. The car runs and drives good again now!
I kept the original wheels, valve covers, shift ball, Air Conditioning compressor, etc. The car was looked over recently by a Corvette expert. He said all the normal problem areas on these Roadsters were in great shape on this car.
This is truly an investor car with huge potential. The car still sports its original Classic White paint. Its had some touch ups. Leave as is....or restore to profection. The car is still in San Antonio Texas, feel free to contact me Hawkeye Wills at 210-548-1310 with any questions. Thanks!
Thanks for your interest and or winning bid. I hunt vintage cars and trucks across the great state of Texas, have since 2004. Most of what I find are rare and unique vintage vehicles, and generally over 40 years old. Most will have scratches, dings, dents and yes rust at some level. I do my best to accurately describe what I see. During the auction is the time to call or write with your questions or concerns, not after winning. My phone number in San Antonio is 210-548-1310. I'm friendly and easy to work with. I'm also happy to help get your vehicle loaded when your shipper arrives or help when there is a missing title situation. I offer all winning bidders two-weeks from auction end of FREE storage. Thereafter $30 per day unless previously arranged. A non-refundable deposit of $700.00 usd is due at auction end. The balance within a week via cash in person or wire transfer. Again thanks for your interest!
On Jul-29-19 at 06:28:12 PDT, seller added the following information:UPDATE! I was asking about the top, the top is needingreplacement. The original topframe is there and seems to be in good shape. The engine runs good and is NOT puffing smoke. No major leaks.
Also I replaced the Power Steering valve block and hydraulic ram. Also most of the hoses are new. Thanks!
